Is the new JB4 different from the old?

Hey all, I have the old Posi-tap version jb4 for my N55 M235i, and I see that there is a new design for the jb4 and it connects through the obd port. Is there any big difference between the old and new JB4, or is it just aesthetics?

Old Posi tap has been discontinued and no longer supported with updates and firmware changes to maps.

If you're vehicle is relatively stock and you just want a bump in power there probably isn't a reason to upgrade.

But if you are continuing to mod your vehicle and want to maximize performance, improve efficiency and take advantage of all the features it may be worth upgrading; it's more then cosmetics for sure.

As mentioned all the updates are going to the new version only

Whether you need to upgrade depends on your future mods

EDIT: I see your are FBO (minue the intercooler) , i would update to the new unit

I can just get the obd cable and modify my current jb4 right? Or do I have to get a new box?
