Thoughts on Eventuri Carbon Intake?

I will be getting the Eventuri carbon intake for my m240I and wanted everyone's thoughts. Why or why not?

My only concern, if I were in your shoes and had your current modifications, would be if an issue arose with the engine and then if Dinan would have a case against denying work since you are using a different intake than what their software is designed around. I'm not trying to debate the whole prove-it-caused-the-problem bit with warranties as I believe it has been done Ad Nauseum, just how I would approach it.

I believe mid-May is when to expect the Dinan CAI for the 240. I'd hold out; in fact I am.

I'd go better safe than sorry as well. My car is all Dinan except for OEM BMW (MPE) or something that Dinan won't fit my convertible (AA IC). And all work done at the same BMW Dealer.

Don't get me wrong the intake you're looking at is sexy as shit, but I don't know that it outperforms the Dinan one and even if it does it can't be a huge difference - and it costs 2x as much.

looks good , costs far too much.

not worth the $$$ for the minimal performance gains an intake delivers.

Yeah I mean if you shop around a bit Eventuri $ = Dinan intake and MPE $.

I would say after looking around the DINAN carbon fibre CAI is the best value for performance and looks.

and put it with the M2 lower part of the airbox and you're sorted. - that's a future mod for me as I already have the M2 lower airbox part with a pipercross filter.

Waste of money. The car will be no faster with any sort of intake. The gains Eventuri posts are a joke.

I just got off the phone with Dinan today and the Dinan Stage 2 and the carbon intake that the tune supports, should be out by the end of May. Tune upgrade should cost around $200-300 and the carbon intake should be around $700. I cant wait!!!

Have to agree with all previous comments about cost, minimal HP bump and about waiting for what Dinan brings to the table. I am very impressed with what the Stage 1 tune did with my car and will jump on the next upgrade when available.

Uber sexy and high priced. Serious eye candy and well thought out design, price point will keep most away...show car piece of kit.

That would be a Stage 4 set-up...or maybe that only applies to the 235 and is now different for the 240. My Stage 3 doesn't not include the big turbo or HE

I figured the same from all the research on past DINAN tunes but according to the sales rep that could be part of the stage 3. Never know though.....

It looks good, i personally would not spend that much money on an intake unless this is a show car
