2nd week with 2015 Alpine / Black m235i 6MT

Lurked long, first post. Just picked up our little hot rod two weeks ago at Austin BMW (kick ass dealer) and had the black front splitter, black kidney grills, bottom side sill mPerformance stripe, and M sport pedals installed at port. it has the best face of any car I've owned. last car was a 2008 335i silver / black coupe sport package 6MT. This manual is even better, the car is better, and that one was fantastic. just a brilliant little car. I wasn't over the moon about the stock gunmetal wheel setup, but now that it's here they're plenty nice and match the mirrors. I can get a 150 per wheel powder coat at austin BMW if we ever want a change. glad I didn't get the upper stripe across the sides. oh, and 40% ceramic tint.

yeah we obsessed for a good while about the black spoiler too, but never were fans of the upper side stripe. the bottom one looks pretty clean.

Congrats on your awesome car! I'd say those wheels would look great powdercoated black to match the theme, or possibly pick up a set of aftermarket wheels to your taste. Enjoy

Great choice on the options! I ordered mine with the rocker panel decals and black kidney grills too, and will do the stainless pedal covers as the first mod. Eventually would like the front splitter too, but one thing at a time!

Congrats on the car. Looks great.

You thinking about the rear diffuser and/or performance exhaust?

$150/wheel seems like a good price for powdercoating, should you decide to do it. I think I would do it at that price. Do you have any idea if the ///M emblem on the wheel can be saved? Powdercoating means the whole wheel is baked in an oven right?

Great mods! White just looks great. I had a white E36 and loved the look. Good luck!

yeah, the diffuser is next. I love the exhaust sound now, and it's a lot of dough for 6 hp, so I'm not sure about the exhaust. mulling over intakes.

actually, $600 for a set is high. you could prob get it done for half of that if you don't go through the dealership.

the white with the black side decal looks great! Really augments the shape to be a bit more muscular. I have a red M235. I bet it would look good on the red, just not a huge fan of having another ///m logo on the car.

who did you work with at BMW Austin? I actually bought mine up in Dallas and drove it back. But I work with Mike here in town and he's got me on "the list" for the M2...if that means anything. Maybe I'll see you around!

Sweet. Congrats! Glad to hear you're impressed with it vs. your old 335i.

Congrats, she looks great and IMO you should get a set of color-matched reflectors asap. Thanks for sharing

Samtnel, ask for Jess Rolan, the new car sales manager. The guy races cars, knows everything there is to know about BMW in general, and IMHO couldn't be beat for being a straight up nice fellow to boot. I actually got into BMW's in 2011 by purchasing from Jeff Reeves over in the used car side, but relied on Jess to take care of the m235i experience. I will be joining the local BMW club - you a member?
