Probably. Try to get more evidence like measuring the damage on her car door versus yours. Include height from ground and other measurements.

That's how I won my case. Someone monster trucked over the front of my s2000 one time. Despite there being a witness he denied. Refused to pay, police was little help, so went small claims.

Best of luck op, this incident would drive me nuts. Any chance you can request a different parking spot?

I get in about an hour before most at my office and leave later, so I haven't gotten eyes on who it is, and it was better this week. Funny thing is, if you notice from the far left, there are two of the exact same TL that park in this area but the one with the red plate sticker is always the culprit.

Man. You're in NJ? Whereabouts?

This is annoying.

Possibly, or the property management team can assign the VW girl a new spot

We have an underground garage at work.
I park at the lowest floor for this reason. Next to a pillar also.

Looks like you're doing your best to avoid the door dinging people, I'm blessed with a 2 level garage at work and no one goes to the 2nd floor at the end with a spot at the end where i hug the line. I started a thread on perfect parking spots, I'll have to ad the one at my work.

This. Seriously: she 'rents' the space just like you 'rent' your space, so you can put whatever you damn well please in yours to keep her from crossing the line.

Keep trying to get the landlord involved. If they won't lift a finger, threaten a complaint to the state board. Why? Because the spaces are assigned, the property owners are partially responsible because it's them, not her, who are forcing you to have to park next to a destructive tenant. Look at it this way: if she broke rules when living in the unit next to you -- loud music/police complaints, improper unit modifications, unit damage, etc., she'd be warned, then evicted from that unit. This is the SAME THING.

Keep documenting with pics. Again: she's 'renting' her space, so if she violates that space and causing damage to others' property, she's liable under the terms of her rental agreement -- especially in Cali, where renters' rights are among the least strong vs. landlords. If they don't budge, get your insurance involved -- I guarantee they will track this person down and make her coverage pay -- and also file a landlord complaint with the state.

Garage List
2022 BMW i4 m50  [10.00]
I confronted my neighbor because of his parking skills, And asked him do you really have an ginormous issue with parking your car within your lines!? Or should i wait for you to get home from work and park it for you to teach how to do it!

After that conversation hes the best at parking his car in the garage

But i feel bad for you, My advice is confront that neighbor and ask them do they got som serious issues with parking? Or are they freaking high on drugs every time they park.

Seriously how is it possible to fail so miserably at parking when you got gigantic parking spots like that, It shouldn't even be possible. If that was Sweden we would at least have gotten another car in there with the reduced parking space needed for a car. Our parking spots are like at maximum 2,2 meters otherwise its something like 2 meters or 1,9 meters. Just so you can park and get out of your vehicle.

+1.
As well, it looks like some some minute paint flecks were rubbed of the OP's 2er and I suspect will be on the edge of the door of the VW which would be proof she was the bitch, err, I mean lady, who is responsible for the damage.

This is a pet peeve of mine. I work at a large engineering center in the midwest and lots of people drive giant pickups. 90% of them insist on backing into the parking spots. Besides taking 5 minutes to do because of the 12 point turn they have to make to back into the spot, they usually end up crooked or 6" from the next car. Why the heck do they feel the need to back into their spots? Are they trying to save 5 seconds when they leave? It's not like they're Batman and if they don't get out of their parking spot fast enough the Joker will blow up the city.

I'm sorry this happened to you OP. I would talk it out. it's not like she doesn't know what happened. Take her to small claims. Other than that carbon drill bits make things better. Swiss cheese her car. Not really constructive but it would make me feel better.

I feel your pain. I work in downtown Dallas and park in a management deck...but there are still giant pickups doing the same exact thing. Fewer, yes. But still.
