Who said the 2 wasn't practical?

I can not tell you the look on the salesman's face when he rolled this thing out and this was the car it was going to. The, "There's no f*ing way," was very evident. Even he was impressed. 55", fit like a glove hahahaha!

Definitely better in the 2er vs attempting to carry a 55" in a s2000.

My m235i convertible is my DD. I carry two hockey sticks (rear seat back folded down), a puck bag and my hockey bag in it twice a week, along with an occasional locker room 12 pack too. During the sailing season I'll carry my life jacket, a bag with wetsuit & foul weather gear and my sailing bag with daggerboard, rudder, tiller and lines back and forth to the sailing club. When I was shopping for my new daily, I was also seriously considering a 981 Boxster, but I really didn't want to have to use my truck for hockey and sailing all the time. So far, I have been able to do everything with my 2 Series vert that I could do with my MINI Cooper S and the 2er is a lot more fun.

Glad to hear it takes hockey gear without issue. Actually even my Miata did, but then it became a one seater. Every car seems practical after that.

When I upgraded my wheels recently, with the rear seats folded down, I managed to fit the 4 OEM rims and the 4 separated MPSS tyres in. Thought I was going need 2 trips.

Pretty impressive

That's why you have friends with trucks. While I rarely "volunteer" to go pick up things for folks from Home Depot, etc, I let family and friends use my truck all the time. I never ask for anything from the borrowers, but I don't mind if it comes back with a full tank and a 12 pack in back seat either.

Fold-down rear seats were an important selling point for me when I was shopping for my new car. I was pleasantly surprised that the M235i had the fold-down seats, and a whole lot more. I'm an avid radio control freak, so it was mandatory that my models fit. Some have 6-foot wing spans and they fit with ease (removable wings, of course).

Nice. Funny too as I was JUST trying to figure out if a 55" TV would fit in there yesterday, as I seem to have won one from the dealer group I purchased my car from

Ya the truck always shocks me how big it is and with the seats folded down there is a ton of room. I got 2 sets of golf clubs and 2 suitcases in the truck for a golf road trip without even folding the seats down. Which TV did you get I just pick up a Samsung 55inch KS 8000 and love it.

I went with the Vizio P55-C1. I was looking at the KS8000 and the Sony 850d as well. It came down to my primary use being for dark room movie/streaming. I thought the KS8000 had better picture quality, but the back lighting kinda killed it for me in a dark room setting. Sony was nice too, and if I used the TV primarily in the day with cable where better upscaling was needed it would have been a good option.

The only two drawbacks with the Vizio was the 55" model had IPS vs VA panels (literally the only model in the line-up with this configuration). Additionally, a little apprehensive about the tablet remote - might take some time to get used to.

In the end, all these TV's are so good - you're just nit picking. Tried to find the best one for my use case, but I think any of them would have been great. Glad you're enjoying the Samsung!

Was it a tight fit or would a 65" OLED have made it in there?

I think if it was 56 inches it would have been a no go LOL. There was absolutely no more room side to side (wheel well to wheel well) but might have been able to move the seats forward more. Honestly, the hardest part was the angle. The slightly upward angle made it difficult to maneuver the TV in.

I'd have to go with an almost certain no on a 65". But shoot if you're looking at the OLED - you should have no problem getting it in your X5M

That's my current TV; the TCP65VT50. Still a great picture but with all the 4K stuff I'm a hopeless endless upgrader LOL.

I'll just get my shop to deliver it when the time comes.

Careful, guys! As I learned over the holiday, most of those large screen sets have a warning on the box to transport them upright only....not laying down. The weight of the glass screen apparently is greater than the load bearing capability, and screen cracks (generally starting in the center) can occur in transport. Sales person warned me and showed me the label on the box.

Good to know, just like it fit into my e92 m3! We are close by (I'm in Lafayette), where do you ride? I've been on my mtn bike once this year...

Sorry for the digression, but since we are thinking about buying one of these, good to know I can still pack a bike in there in a pinch.
