Finding neutral?
Gents,
Can the automatic m235i or m240i be placed in neutral from park and rolled around the shop without the motor running or key in with power in position 1? |

The screw under the tranny is one way. On E92 DCT's you can do it from under the stick shift boot. On E90 3series autos you can do it under the stick boot too. Isn't there a bypass under the stick shift boot of the m2 series?

I have read in various threads on BP about folks with AT cars that have been in accidents or had mechanical or electrical issues on the road and the car has been stuck in park and for various reasons couldn't be started to engage neutral for a tow truck to pull it from a ditch or pull it up onto a flatbed. Gives me yet another reason I am glad I have a MT car.
If you need to move it around the shop, you may want to invest in a four piece set of wheel dollies.
