Beep confirmation of storing seat memory has gone!

Sorry guys I'm double-posting this (the first post has been buried inside another thread of mine, and didn't catch anyone's attention). So - after the last software update at my Dealership, the beep I used to hear as a confirmation when storing my seat position to one of the 2 memory spaces is now gone. I miss it, as it gave me confidence when using while driving that my new seat settings have indeed been memorized. Is it my car, or has anyone else had similar experience after the latest software upgrade? I'm sure it can be repaired by coding, but never have time for that...

I have a 16' M235i when you store a position in memory there is a confirmation beep.

The beeps are a MY2015+ thing. Mine does it.

My MY 2014 never beeped when setting seat memory. Also there is no confirmation that steering wheel heater is on. Both of those features are on newer BMWs. Anybody has an idea how much $$$$ to code both at stealerships ?

this same issue happened to me to following my latest service. in addition to issues with ConnectedDrive features like send to car, messages, and BMW Labs Widget. I've written about the issues in some threads here and here

i'm currently on software version 001.050.002. i'm not sure what was the previous version or the version orginally shipped with the car. my M235 is MY2016, with a production date in 10/2015.

it is my understand that prior to MY2016, there was no confirmation beep sound. one suspicion i have is that i have an older software version/revision as my seat beep sound is missing.

I just found the beep this morning. I had no idea it did it. I have a 2015.

I don't thing those are related - after my last sw update, the only thing that changed (or I noticed so far) is the lack of those nice and useful beeps

I bet it can be coded back.

I'm curious. How often do you change your seat position memory? Every car I have ever had,I find a good position and it stays there until I trade the car in. Why would you keep changing the seat memory?

I assume you are asking me. I have driven from Chicago to San Francisco. Many long trips. I change the seats during long trips occasionally if I am so inclined. However,I don't change the memory setting. I always like to have it go back to the default setting. The changes during long drives are only temporary. That's why I asked. I was curious.

Yeah, my question was to you. OK - so you do spend many ours in your M235i and just chose to adjust your seating position only on a temporal basis; my trips are also extremely long and tiresome (plus I have spine problems), and must do it very often. Unlike you - when I find a slight modification to my seat setting which I find really comfortable - I'd always memorize it in order to be able to return to it by just a single memory button push (just 2 different attitudes, none better than the other). But doing so while driving, I really appreciated the beep confirmation that my setting has indeed been memorized - that's why I miss it so much

Just wondering. I don't have any back problems. I haven't had the 228 long. Still trying to find a good seat position. So far I have found the seats not as comfortable as my previous convertible. A Volvo C70. I have the sport seats. The firmer suspension and the RFT may have something to do with that.

Definitely. When you first take a seat in the M235i, you feel "wow - great, sporty seats" - but during a prolonged trip, especially if your spine (and all limbs - due to spinal cord conditions" start to ache, you just nedd to change the seating position. And when you find one that really relieves your pains, you'd like to memorize for future use.

2015 M235i here and I have the beep. I would look into your sound settings and see if you have anything turn off/turned down.
