Power folding heated mirrors- which option package to get this?
Power folding heated mirrors- which option package to get this? I have this feature in my BMW 128i and I cannot live without it as I push a button to have them fold in when I am pulling into my garage and when I pull-out of my garage I push the button to have them pop out again. I also close them when I am parked due to having a mirror hit a few days after owning the car and having an expensive repair. I finally found a post discussing this but I am still confused by which package I must add to get the button that I push inside the car to fold in the mirrors. Dealers seem to be clueless. Thank you for all your help in advance.

I had trouble finding the answer as well. Folding mirrors are part of the Premium Package. I'm not sure about the heating though. I ordered Premium just for the mirrors once I decided to get leather. Good luck with your order. One more tip - I missed out on ordering port installed options as my CA didn't know the ordering deadline for them so you may want to include the in your initial build.

Thank you so much oscr972 for letting me know! I guess I had thought I did not want the premium package as I did not need a moon roof I never use but I need the power folded mirrors as this is something I use all the time. I will have to go back to price out what I want.

Oscr972, What color leather did you go with? I am trying to figure out if I want the same combination I had for 3 years that I loved or something new. I love my Oyster Seats but they do get so dirty.

Thanks Killramos for letting me know that the folding power mirrors came standard with your 2-series BMW in Canada. My 2012 BMW 128i has the folding power mirrors that I thought was standard but maybe they were part of the Premium package when I leased my vehicle in 2011. My lease in ending in 2 months so I am trying figure out what my new vehicle will look like and ordering what I want this month. I am not tired of my Alpine White and Oyster Leather Seats so I may want to stay with this combination but I can't live without the folding power mirrors as I open and close them all the time.

I got Terra leather and Alpine White. FYI the moonroof is part of the base M235, not part of the premium package. I opted for moonroof delete.

Thank you Oscr972 for letting me know. The Terra leather is so rich and pretty and will not get as dirty as Oyster. I just added it to a build to see what it looks like. I had no idea you could delete the moonroof. I rarely use mine as I prefer to keep the air conditioner on and all windows closed in the summer due to allergies.

I have premium and executive on mine as well, MY 14. I think you will have the mirrors. Its such a minor feature i doubt it makes it onto the spec sheet. The mirrors are heated as well and thats not on the spec sheet One easy way to check is get a canadian MY16 manual PDF off the internet and see if they are mentioned? |

I drove a US market service loaner last week, 228i with no Premium Package. No folding mirrors. Didn't check for heat. M235i may have different standard equipment too.
