Edit: 9/9/2016
Arrived off the truck from Leipzig!! Just some crappy cell phone pics in bad lighting, but at least it's here. She's still in transport mode all wrapped up in plastic inside and out. Now, we'll be waiting for the front lip and rear diffuser to get back from painting. Another week or two before I can take delivery. :/

Edit: 9/16/2016

M Performance Parts installed!!! I'm picking her up on Wednesday next week!!!

MP Front Lip painted

MP 19" Wheels

MP rear diffuser painted, chrome exhaust tips, CF spoiler

MP CF mirror caps

M2 exposed CF interior trim. MP SS pedals installed, too, but they're covered in black plastic at the moment

Edit: 09/21/2016
Some cell phone teaser picks for ya. Getting tinted before pickup tomorrow.

Edit: 09/22/2016
Pickup Day!!!

Edit: 9/24/2016

Drove her up the Rhine river and down the Mosel to help break in the engine. Here's a quick shot from a Parkhaus rooftop in Koblenz where the Rhine and the Mosel rivers meet.

Driving through Germany's wine country. This is some random location where I stopped to take a pic of a castle (of which I saw at least 3 dozen along the way), turned around, and saw my beauty sitting there and just had to take a pic.

Ah, heck. Now that I mentioned castles, I don't want you to feel like you're missing out! Here's a quick cellphone shot of the Cochem castle!

And another from Bernkastel-Kues on the Mosel river.

Many more pics to come!!!

They're just for looks. The weight savings is so minimal that it's pointless. I skipped out on them because for $600 or whatever it is, they're to easy to steal so I just went with painted caps from IND. they should be here before I take delivery at the end of September.

She gets built on Monday, ships Tuesday, and arrives Wednesday at the dealer! I should be able to snap some pics while she's still in stock form then. Will take them about a week to get all the parts installed and do all the things they do with new cars. Will be lighting this place up with more pics that anyone ever wanted. :P

Congrats Hrothgar. Mine starts production Monday the 5th. Was told expected delivery is the following week (I'm in Kaiserslautern, Germany). Were you told it'd be delivered on Wednesday to the dealer? Seems quick for a build and delivery.

Quick indeed! That was my thought, too. Can't say I'm not skeptical. They put it together in a single day start to finish, and barring a random quality control inspection that could set back the shipping date a couple weeks (which I'm told has happened in the past) it ships out Tuesday and is expected to arrive late Wednesday. Like all things, something could go awry and it could be late. I should be able to see it in stock form next Thursday or Friday. From there, I was told they would need a week to put all the parts on and do their inspections and whatnot and I should expect to pick it up in about 2 weeks from today if all goes as planned.

Thank you I already have my tires in my winter garden, picking up the 437m replicas from UPS tomorrow afternoon, IND stuff will be here in about 1-2 weeks and just put in the order for the MP splitter/spoiler, rear spoiler, and full CF interior. It's going to be together quick lol. Just gotta wait for delivery

I'm definitely interested in how those 437 replicas work out for you! They're still my favorite style on these models and it was a toss up between those and the MP ones I got. I may swap out mine for the replicas at some point. Not sure yet.

I'm interested to see how they work out for me too lol. Worried about to much poke, but if I measured right on the stock m235 at the dealer, it will be pretty darn close. I liked one of the MP ones, but I wanted to go wider and those rims wouldn't allow for much wider if at all so had to find something.

I'm still anxiously awaiting a build date. The production status has been "order placed and awaiting build date" for a month now. Any way to get more info?

Build date should already be set if not within the next couple weeks (like 1-2). The wait on the vin was the long questionable part for me. Got it the week before the build.

Same here. Got my VIN on 8/25 nearly 2 months after the initial order, then production was set for a little over a week later on 9/5. Joe240 is probably going to get his car before mine, because my front splitter and rear diffuser still need to go out to the paint shop.

Also, I just heard that several of the CF accessories are on back order until mid to late September. That's not long, per se, but the dealer doesn't want to give me the car until all the parts are on. I'm trying to convince them that I'm pretty sure I'll be just fine driving the car around for a week or two without a CF interior... lol. But that may be moot considering the wait for the paint work.

They're supposed to be installing full CF interior, CF rear spoiler, and front splitters/spoiler as well. Didn't know the CF bits were on back order. I'm supposed to be given my splitters when they come in so I can get them painted while we wait for customs to clear. Maybe they can do that for you as well?

I spoke with Anthony at OEMConcepts. He's on the forums here: http://www.2addicts.com/forums/member.php?u=79523

Great guy and very helpful. Just make sure you get a shipping invoice from him and go to the customs office on base (I went to the one on Ramstein) and get AE Form 550-175A filled out by them. It exempts military members from import duties and taxes so you wont have to pay UPS when you go to pick them up. What will happen is the wheels will get to customs, UPS should prompt on the tracking page that customs needs information from you. You send them the invoice and that form and it will get signed and you'll owe nothing. Then they will be sent to a UPS facility for you to either pick up or deliver to your residence.

Had some issues getting the wheels imported because German customs sucks when going through UPS. They tried charging me 1000 euros in import fees and taxes when it should've been like 250-300 euro. I asked them to reevaluate it and they came back saying it is 1900 euro That's when I went to the customs office on Ramstein and found out about that form. Got it filled out, had to take it to german customs for a signature, but they couldn't sign it because UPS already had possession of the wheels. So went to UPS where the lady at the counter ended up signing the form and giving me my wheels. Was a 2 day headache that can be avoided if you have the knowledge lol.

Plan on getting the form when I order my exhaust in the spring (if there's one out for the m240i around then).

Where are you stationed at and what color car do you have?

wow ok appreciate the advice on that. good to know. I'm over at Rose Barracks right near Grafenwoehr. I ordered black sapphire, and went back and forth between that and mg before i settled on it. Still second guessing myself and probably will be until delivery haha. I feel you on the exhaust. On the short list for sure, along with a bunch of other things.
