Canadian car. Came with the inserts (ED and storage package option; not sure either affects this).

Driver's side immediately went in the trunk. Passenger side kept since it's built to hold the key fob.

Small glove box to left of steering column, near the trunk release button. I store my sunglasses and parking lot permit there.

I just noticed I had that today. Good idea on what to use it for.

Now if anyone can tell me where to put coins so they don't rattle around, I'd be extra happy.

Whats with everyone taking out the inserts? I actually think they look good and make the interior more complete, without them something doesn't look right. There a drink holder in both doors so I use that for water bottles, middle drink holders not needed.

I tried using them on a recent road trip and they are to far forward and bumps against the trim

Not worth it for the scratches...

Road trip was the exception to the rule for drinks in car. Had to be resealable.

I dug the fact that one insert was perfect for the key, but with CA, the key never leaves my pocket. If one of the inserts had fit my phone perfectly, I would have kept them in, but my phone needed somewhere to go!

My M235i didn't come with them, but after a few phone calls, my dealership have them ordered for me.

Apparently, it doesn't look like the cup hold covers come standard in Canada, but my dealership (Town&Country BMW) has been awesome in getting them for me.

Maybe try your dealer and see what they can do?

That's a nice rule.

However here in Los Angeles, we can spend hours in our cars sitting in traffic, so an In-N-Out double-double and a coke can be necessary.

Sadly, I lost this glove box. When you opt for the lane changing warning and some of the other driver assist options, they hijack this storage area.

Update on cup holder inserts. They are part of Storage Package 493 and are standard. My dealer is tracking down what happened and how to get me a set, as my car came without. I don't yet know what else is in Storage Package 493, so I'm not sure if more stuff is missing or just the inserts. Check with your dealer if you don't have, but want these.
