MP Rear diffuser metal brackets

Just installed the MP rear diffuser, anyone know the purpose of the included two metal brackets? They seem to attach behind the rear heat shield...

Thanks! I noticed the bottom is pretty solid, but the top has a bit of play. Might install these brackets and see

It only supports the bottom and keeps it from moving forward and back... Even with them installed it still moved a little but it did a great job holding it in place

just installed the brackets tonight... its actually much more sturdy now. previously, when i washed my car the rear diffuser would flex in and out a lot... now it's pretty much solid.

Would recommend anyone who did MP Diffuser to install brackets... was easy and makes it much more sturdy =)

you take off the rear diffuser, remove the rear most heat shield. the brackets basically brace the heat shield ...
