Schroth Quick Fit Pro fit m235?
Does the model they sell for the 1 series fit in the m235?
Is there an alternative for a 4pt harness that uses the stock belt anchor points? I used these in an e92 m3 at the track and found it very helpful over struggling to keep my place in the seats and would like to try these in my new m235 track toy before investing in seats/bar/6pt. |

HPDEs require that we have equivalent passenger restraint; we'd benefit from your opinion, advise on using Schroth Quick Fit Pro on that side too... |

sorry for the delay,
here is what I did. has been almost a year, so some information may be foggy. I used a e46 harness, install per directions. Change the seat belt receiver in rear to e46 type. Change the male part on the harness to a 2er type blade (type B I believe), this can be undone on the harness. note rear seat belt will not be usable. Newer body style harness may be plug and play. Ignore typo below, e36, should be e46. |

An E82 quick fit harness will plug right in for anyone that would like to get them. FYI

Are there any ASM harness systems available like this without necessitating a roll bar?

Why no harness bar?
many tell you not to use these types of harnesses do to the angle and the compression on the spine and neck in case of an accident. I'm looking into finding a harness bar. A cage will run 5-10k alone.

The safety of it gets brought up in every track classroom i've ever been in.
At the end of the day, the safest you can be is in a racing seat, with 6-point harness and a full, custom roll cage with HAANs device. Everything else will have a weak point. But a fully caged car on the street provides huge risk as ur not wearing a helmet and a roll cage will hurt your head. A harness bar or the bolt in's will not help you in the event of a roll over. Thats why you get the full cage. Safety is very debatable. It comes down to your comfort level. A race prep car will cost 30k easy to be performed.

Regarding safety, the safety of a 4 point is not only the angle, but also the head protection. It is highly recommended to use a HANS device with any 4, 5 or 6 point. When your shoulders are secured in a 4+ point configuration, this leaves your head and neck vulnerable in the event of an impact. I would recommend a belt with ASM such as the Profi2 ASM over the quick fit, but that's just me. Harness bars are great when you want belt systems installed, but only in terms of belt angles in relation the quick fits and in regards to passenger safety in an impact. For a street car, 4 points properly installed with ASM tech would be my belt of choice. |

This thread is a bit misinformed in the quick fit belts, there designed for no bar. They actually are the only harness that is dot approved.
If you wear a hans and use a stock seat, quick fit is a safe choice over 3 point stock belts. Here is a video: You absolutely do not want to run a harness bar in a car that is a street car. Unless you plan on installing race seats and wearing a helmet all day. Dot banned factory harnesses, roll bars in street cars, that's why they are not availible in 911s any more from the factory.
