It's quite literally wrong. Someone screwed up the kg -> lbs conversion. The manual is lighter than the automatic.

Those are the same rims as the ones offered for f30 performance parts?

If that's the case, they are going to cost a freakin arm and a leg...

My only concern is how close to the price of an eventual M2 would you have to pay to get the M performance goodies (LSD, suspension, 19" inch wheels and brakes)

Anyone know if the exhaust system is the same as the M perf system on the 3/4?

Anyone else made yourself like the 3 series headlights but after seeing the 2 series not following the headlights/grill style...you now hate the 3 series headlights?

Doubt it. No standard non-limited edition BMW has come with M Performance Exhaust.

Not listed. You can get an idea, by looking on bmwusa at the difference between the 428i and 435i weight. Then subtract accordingly, M235i is 1455kg or 3208lbs.

I agree on the 19s - I think that was one of the things that really set the 1M off compared to the other 1ers.

I have a confirmed production number that begins build in the second week of December, with an anticipated delivery of late January/early February.

We will see - the car is still in locked 112 stratus - which means I cannot pick my options yet...

Finally! A BMW I can love again since my E46 M3. Everything on paper looks spot on. M235i is now on my current hot list.

Or say a ~380 hp high revving NA version of the S55 and make it 200 lbs lighter than the M3/M4. It would be a vastly different beast fro the M235i and M3/M4 that have a lot less overall power than the F8Xs and not infringe on it's performance superiority but for many it would be a greater car and truer to M heritage.
Good luck getting 110 HP per liter in a street production NA engine BMW which is a far cry from the >125 HP/L you're implying. The S65 was created for what you're asking.

Still that is exactly what Porsche did already a few years ago in the 997 GT3 4.0 RS and now with the much cheaper 991 GT3. 125hp per liter in a street production NA engine. The M division can usually keep pace with Porsche with their engines to a much lower price. It's not likely they will go this route but do I think they are able to , you bet. Someone on the F80 forum looked at the cylinder spacing and thought that the S55 can likely be bored to close to 4 liter if needed and it's over squared with potential for high rpms without reaching unheard of piston speeds. I actually think it can quite easily be converted into a 380 hp NA engine by the wizards of M. Most likely though it will just be a further tweaked N55 or a de-tuned S55. All BMW engines are now FI, NA is dead and buried in Munich, sadly enough.
