Special end-of-year 2 Series offers and incentives for December?

I have my '18 M240i waiting for me at the dealer. Our deal is independent of any new offers or incentives that might happen for December.

The dealer doesn't believe that better offers or incentives will be available for the 2 Series since it's a low-volume vehicle, but I'm hedging my bets by waiting these few extra days. Is there a precedent for December offers or incentives on the 2 Series, based on prior years?

On which date of the month (or day of the week) are incentives usually announced? Ever before the end of the expiring month?

Many car forums have sub-forums specifically to discuss new OEM incentives each month. Why not here?

You must be lazy. Why don't you search before you post something like that?

No need to be snarky about it. I'm trying to plan when to take delivery of my car. That thread had not seemed relevant for my specific question(s). I had already studied the thread you referenced, in its entirety, but (1) the majority related to leasing, and (2) the data is historical, whereas my question is about the specific timing (expected release date) of upcoming (this December) incentives, and any 'insider' opinions about whether this November incentives are expected to carry over, unchanged, or increase in December for the 2 Series (specifically the '18 M240i) based on current (not past) MY product- and market-specific conditions.

December programs will be released first day of BMW month - not always calendar 1st of month check with dealer. You can look at last year Nov vs Dec rebates and programs to make an educated guess.

Since you ordered car you're not going to benefit from last day of month / quarter / year pressure that dealers are under where you can often steal something that's sitting on the lot.

EDIT: anyone who is telling you they know what Dec is going to look like for certain before communicated to dealers is full of shit - per your question on inside info. I've asked my sales manager at a big volume dealership, VIP advisor at BMWNA etc. You will know when it's public not an instant before.

^ Thank you. My dealer had encouraged me to take delivery in November, whereas I'm wanting to wait these few remaining days to December just to hedge my bets. Dealer tells me that the 2 Series will not likely get better year-end incentives than the ones currently available, since (1) the M240i is a just-refreshed low-production vehicle, and (2) BMW is focusing this year on just-launched vehicles like the X3.

So it appears that a $2000 credit is offered on the 2 series currently. Does it require a loan through BMW financial services? Does that $2000 credit come off the "agreed upon" sales price? I also can get the $2000 USAA credit, which as I understand is stackable. So, if we agree on lets say a sales price of $47500, can I then deduct $4000 to make a final sales price of $43500?

I am getting 1.9% Financing on my new 2018 m240i. Just hoping it arrives before December 23rd otherwise I won't be able to pick it up after December and I am not sure if they will have that deal waiting for me when I come back to pick it up. Other than that, my dealer has no other deals for the 2 series.

Where do you see the $2k incentive being offered? This would be great news if true.

Ugh. Too late for me, unless it can be applied retroactively to a December purchase.

EDIT: Dealer says that offer is not in the San Diego region. Hmmmm, really??

I got the holiday deal in new mexico, 2000 off msrp plus 1000 new grad discount. When I placed the order for my car in August that deal wasn't active but they applied to the purchase when i took delivery a few weeks ago

Just confirmed I'm getting the $2k off since I haven't signed paperwork yet for my Jan 3rd PCD. Woohoo!

FYI - it's in the form of a rebate that essentially goes towards your down payment. Sales price (aka "MSRP" in the official terms...) remains what it is, but you'll get a $2k credit that acts as a down payment. That's how it's working for me anyways.
