I'll say it's better than I had thought they'd be. It feels like you have a wider range of selectable "clicks" than your traditional seating positions. The only problem I see is when really tall or heavy friends require adjustments in the passenger seat... They have a hard time raising the seat height if they lower it too low. You really have to rise up from your seat to let it sort of "spring up".
Thanks a lot man! I've looked everywhere for a picture in the 228. At the dealership they told the 2 series comes with power seats standard, but I new it was different. Great explanation! Enjoy your 228i.

Just FYI, since you're getting an M-sport, the sport seats have an additional manual adjustment on the side in the front of the panel. it adjusts basically the angle of the seating surface. the middle one adjusts the height of the seat, the back the backrest. but it's this front one that can make the seat angle very steep, i.e. edge of seat much higher than your rear, or very flat. this is one of the amazing features of the BMW sport seats in my opinion, as I like them flat. the non-sport seats have a standard angle that really cannot be adjusted.
Yes thanks for reminding me that. I tried the sports seats in a 328xi and were great. Those were power seats, but don't expect the feel to be different.

Took the 2er past 10,000 feet today... Mt. Haleakala, Maui, Hawaii

Headed up to the summit this afternoon after work. (As we say in Hawaii, "Jus cuz can!") It was an awesome drive with quite a view.

Honestly, I didn't feel a decline in throttle response up there. Maybe it's because I'm not used to the power of forced induction, but I really didn't notice a significant change.

All of the other cars I've owned (Mazda3 and Prius) have had very weak starts at the summit. Even my friend's 10th anniversary edition Miata sounded verrrrry sketchy on the startup.

The 2er started up strong and never felt underpowered despite the thin air up there.

Picked up my license plates yesterday... Unfortunately we must have a front license plate here in Hawaii. Whilst waiting for my license plates, I could legitimately run with only the paper plate on the rear.

Now it's back to reality...

Car looks great! Been lucky with running without a front license plate for the last 5 years. Finally Pasha will release the cars tomorrow. Hopefully i can take delivery over the weekend.

Very nice and sporty! I have AW with black seats also but without the sport package as I prefer not to have lowered seats due to my petite height. I sure wish BMW would add a seat cooling option.

I know what ya mean! The seats do get very warm, even with the A/C blasting... I usually lean forward while I drive to let the air cool my back. lol

That is what I have been doing to try to get the air conditioner to cool off the back of the seat. Now that the weather is getting a little cooler, I am hoping the back of my seat will not get so hot as the white and black really look nice together.

As promised, I've gone on a series of mini-adventures around the island of Maui over the past few months.

Here are some photographs.
Enjoy!
