I saw the first 2er in the wild other than mine on Saturday. It was a silver 228i vert in the REI Dallas parking lot. Still had dealer plates. Does anyone here belong to it?
I have yet to see a 2er coupe in the wild. |

In Orange County, we are in the "too many Teslas to count" camp. I also see too many super cars to really be impressed any more. Any time I see a new M3/ M4, I do stop to take notice. The one I saw recently that really stood out was the guy that parallel parked his Ford GT in front of Starbucks to go get a latte.

Haha I was on the 401 in Toronto today and some guy in a EB 2 series with red interior seats was holding up traffic honking at me and giving me a big thumbs up! He might have gotten super excited as my car looks the same as his

Hertz gave us a loaded but V6 convertible Camaro. How did GM manage to make 305hp feel so slow? And sound so bad... But at least the top folds down, and unlike my vacation last year in FL, I expect to be able to put it down.

I live in Jupiter which is in palm beach and I see every car you mentioned all over the place. I've only ever seen one m235i other than mine and no 228i's. Also, I think there are more teslas here by the given space than any other place I've seen. Every time I go to work I must see 15 or so all different ones a day. |

Although I've been looking for many months now for the vehicles listed, I did finally see a Lexus RC in Ultrasonic Blue. It was beautiful, but I've test driven an RC and even my 228 is much faster and nimbler. Then the same day, I saw a Golf R. Also, it seems like ever since I did the OP, I have been seeing Teslas constantly lately, and a few more Genesis Coupes. Still no ATS coupes or A3 convertibles, surprisingly.

FINALLY saw the first 2er in the wild this week! I have been looking for 2ers since October 2014 or so when I learned what they were and how to recognize them, but hadn't seen a single one (other than dealer lots and the PDC in SC).
The one I saw was on Main Street Niantic CT. A red one with the black horizontal decal stripe on the body crease. If anyone on this forum owns the car, please PM.

Just got back from my local Cars & Coffee and there were still BMW guys who had never seen the M235i in person yet. Had quite the crowd gather when I pulled up.

BMW 2 series: Only mine. The vast majority of BMWs at work are black 328s, with a couple white 435s.
Lexus RC coupe: A few. Alfa Romeo 4C: One (surprisingly) Tesla Model S: Zero here, stopped counting around 20 last time I was in LA. Chevy SS: Zero, but we do like our Camaros (and Mustangs). Jaguar F-type: Zero Audi A3 convertible: Zero |

I've seen abut 5 different 2ers driving around the streets here (and another M235i in Dublin last week)...someone who works in an office near my apartment seems to have a 228 coupe and about 2 weeks ago someone in my building bought a black convertible. He will soon have a hard-top brother.
I see a couple Teslas and Genesis coupes everyday, about 10 F-types, zero SSs, and a total of 1-2 ATS coupes and 1-2 RCs that I can remember. I don't think I've seen any 4Cs or Golf Rs... This is in Tampa, FL, where people either seem to have massive trucks or sports cars |

A small P.S., I think the ATS premium is a good value due to the light weight and great suspension, but after seeing it in person, I was just as underwhelmed with it, as I was when it first came out. Its looks can't compete with the older CTS coupe in its wow factor, IMO (I know it's a love it or hate it look though). Also, until they improve the CUE significantly, that is a dealbreaker anyway. |

I believe you can only get service at dealership so I see them all the time. BMW i8 - not in the wild but worth mentioning, two at dealership by house. Black one and Blue one, they look......different. Almost like BMW is trying to hard. BMW 650i coupe - 1 Dark blue If you are familiar with Illinois, I'm in Naperville, Oak Brook, and Burr Ridge quite often. You end up seeing alot of 6 figure cars in those towns. |

We just returned from our ED in Germany to get our new 228i. During the whole 2 weeks, I saw no other 2 series coupes. I even had a lot of Germans stopping checking out our 228i.

I have yet to see a 2 series on the road and I'm constantly on a busy highway 684/Hutchinson River NY
BUT. Love the fact not everyone has a 2series makes the WOW factor go up more for people seeing the car. |

BMW 2 series: 0, haven't seen one on the road (note, at track days are the exception, but I don't think that is the point of this thread. My last track day/autoX there were about 20 of them. Also when we did the Diff testing. But on the road, none.)
Cadillac ATS coupe: 1, it is parked at the local Y every weekend Lexus RC coupe: Zero Alfa Romeo 4C: 2 Tesla Model S: every 20th car it seems in Mass. Tesla P85D: 1, parked next to it at the airport. Hyundai Genesis coupe (2013+): at least 10 Chevy SS: 5+, friend owns one with a stick. I can confirm that the M235i is faster. Jaguar F-type: Zero Audi A3 convertible: 4 or 5 VW Golf R: Zero Cadillac ELR: Zero |

So I was waiting around at an automobile hand wash on Vermont and Melrose this morning when look what pulled up beside me, a young woman in a M235i, the first of those I've seen in Los Angeles (a 235i, that is, not a young woman, they're everywhere).
