I'm picking up a 2016 M235i (production 8/2015). Although the display screen is fine in my car, I've seen a number of others with cracks/bubbling on the 8.8" iDrive display screen. I'm assuming this is due to heat exposure in the summer and don't look forward to this issue.

I see a few part numbers listed in RealOEM. Has there been a revision for this part? Or is there nothing to do about it if one's screen is damaged (outside of buying a $3K new one and waiting for it to happen again, or trying a used one and waiting for the same)?
