Gear slip or power issues? Maybe?
Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone ever felt this while accelerating, very brief breaks in linearity of acceleration almost as if it slipped a bit or jerked a bit? If I floor it its not noticeable but if I slowly increase the throttle to floor, there'll be brief little breaks in acceleration as the revs climb. Maybe it could be power transferring to the different wheels, I don't know. Also I noticed that sometimes around the parking lot the engine would rev itself up before grabbing the next gear I have an auto m235ix so was wondering if this is something I should be concerned about. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! |

I just chalk it up to the nature of ATs...which could be bad since I my DD has been a manual since I got my license. |

With your foot completely down, does it studder over 5k rpm? What gas are you using? Are you tuned? What boost ?

Sorry for the delay, just trying to kinda pin point it down myself.
the car is stock (with MPE), 50ish k miles, sparks haven't been changed. Always on top tier premium, usually Shell V-power The jerks are very subtle, I'm now wondering if its the X drive bit just shuffling power around as I can't seem to reproduce it. Its not with foot completely down, only partial throttle. |

time to change your plugs and probably coils if they haven't been.
at 50k, i'd personally change the fuel injectors and tranny fluid and differential fluids too.
