Has anyone re-installed the stock exhaust after installing MPE? (M235i)

If so, was it easy? From what I remember, stock exhaust had to be cut in order to install MPE. So I'm wondering if I have to do something different to reinstall the stock.

Currently have MPE, but I might sell my car stock. Want to get an idea of the process.

Thanks in advance!

It depends on the install ofc.

If the MPE muffler was welded after stock being cut then you have to cut/weld again.

If you used BMW´s exaust band(that covers the cut between pipeing-muffler) then just replace the muffler, could be done from a parkinglot.

its probably easiest to:

1- remove clamp
2- unbolt hangers and drop the entire exhaust
3- remove hangers and put on other exhaust while off the car
4- bolt the exhast back on the car, plug in valve, re-do the clamp

Shouldn't take more than 20 mins.

I had my local BMW dealer install the MPE. You think they used the clamp method or weld method?

Most likely the clamp. That's how BMW recommends it as far as I know. Easy to peek under the car to look.

Thanks for all the advice, everyone.

Has anyone removed the stock black tips from MPE and put back on stock exhaust? If so, what method did you use to do that?
