Unplugged MAF pics?

I would like to unplug my MAF, but I'm wondering what would be the best method to secure the cable and where to. Anybody have any pictures of their "setup"?

There is no method to it.. Just unplug and zip tie the MAF wire to anything you can The MAF is the sensor on the intake tube.

Tuck it under the foam under the engine cover. Stealth and no zip tie required.

I thought of just using a zip tie, but I don't feel comfortable doing so. I'm afraid the plug will eventually get dirty (or worse, water reaches it) and something is fried. Hence this thread

Thanks, but I'm still kind of worried nastyness may reach it.

Does anybody know if you can get a connector cover for this plug?

I wrapped both ends in electrical tape. If you are consistently getting lots water and road grime up under your engine cover you have bigger issues.

If you are super concerned about it maybe put a black balloon over it. Or shrink wrap it.

Or just dip the end of the plug in silicone grease?

Oh, I'm not experiencing anything like that, but I'm just a bit paranoid about dirt/water reaching places it shouldn't

Sounds like electrical tape will do fine

That seems a bit excessive, thanks though.

Or If you just unplug the MAF but leave it in the connector. Use electrical tape to secure it...

Or I would use silicone and electrical tape and zip tie it to another harness.

Or I would just leave it plugged in. Why are you unplugging the MAF ? What intake are you running ?
