I ended up doing it myself. I'm a aircraft mechanic, but also have decent knowledge and experience working on my own cars. I gained a lot of experience about BMW's when I had my 95 M3. Since I have a second car, I just took my time and did it. I didn't find anyone I was comfortable with, but there is once place you could try called Grand Turismo East. They did a awesome job on my alignment, and I've always heard good things about them on other Bmw forums. I totally forgot about them when I did my springs, but I'm also not sure they do that type of stuff. I just know they are a real good alignment shop. If you decide to tackle it yourself, there is a good guide to do it that I used. It's for a 335i but I read that all the toque values are the same as our cars. There is also a good thread on this forum, which includes the same link and has some good tips (second link). http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=994489 http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1242799 Last edited by qnet; 11-07-2016 at 10:19 PM.. |

In European websites, eibach and H&R have to publish TUV certs to comply with German Regs. Full details of springs are in the TUV certs. BP Last edited by Bee Pee; 11-08-2016 at 12:13 PM.. |

I know Atlanta area winters are not that bad, but I put back on my all-season runflats for the colder weather. The Dinan springs even make the little 225 runflats looks nice, with some spacers. |

Dinan springs and bump stops were installed yesterday! I also did VRSF 12mm spacers front, 15mm spacers rear and a stud conversion to Motorsport Hardware Black Bullet Nose Stud Kit, 82mm Black Conical Seat Nuts. Alignment will be done early next week.
Put about 60 miles or so on the car since and I'm loving it. The handling feels more stable with the wider track. Generally less floaty and less bounce when going over bumps and holes, but still a comfortable ride in comfort mode. Way less body roll especially in Sport mode. Definitely gives you more confidence in the turns. Really glad I pulled the trigger. Ian and the guys at Solo MotorSports in Norcross have my recommendation. "Before" on top. Also, some close shots of the "after" wheels.

How do you like the run flats? I understand they make the ride rougher.

The Michelins ride rougher IMO. I have a set of VMR rims installed with them that have a more aggressive offset than the stock rims, so that may have something to do with it. |
