1 Day Away! Let me know how you like the A/S tire feel! I am ordering this Saturday, everyone seems to love the PSS on this forum, but like you I would rather not have to deal with tire swapping. I live near Chicago as well. I've made it 2 decades on all seasons, but keep hearing the handling and ride is much better on the PSS.

I really think that people make too much of the debate especially considering itll be a daily driver. For instance, everyone complains to no end about the RFTs on the 135i, but I had them for 4 years and never really had an issue.

I think the AS tires will be just fine, will definitely keep you posted!

So how's the new car? Have you noticed any additional road noise or that the RFTs are too stiff? I ordered mine with the summers but yesterday I had the dealer send me an update and I was at status code 155 Finished assembly(yay!) anyways I noticed on the build list it said all seasons...

New car is amazing, only 500 miles in right now but loving it more every day. Regarding the A/S RFTs, no issues in my mind whatsoever. I don't drive the thing like a race car everyday so I'm not too worried about "performance" as much as the other guys on the forum. I also don't know about the road noise, seems pretty quiet to me.

When I did the dedicated summer winter sets, I usually waited until after thanksgiving to change them out. The all seasons already paid off since we got a huge snowstorm the week before and the car did amazing with A/S and AWD.

Sorry I maybe missed something, you ordered summer's but the dealer put your order in wrong and you're getting all seasons?

Id have a fit if that was the case, you should be able to get compensation or have them swap out for summer tires if you want. Either way you can't go wrong with A/S.

You are correct, I ordered the PSS summers and the order spec from BMW shows all seasons, and since the car is coming end of Jan - beginning of March I would have needed winters so I am thinking the A/S might just be simpler in Chicago. I'll just bitch a little and see if I can get a really good deal on the Performance exhaust or something. I'm not going to track the car and I've been using A/S without much issue for 20 years so with the AWD shouldn't be the end of the world.

Yeah, realistically the A/S are going to serve me perfectly year round in Chicago. I am happy to have ordered them.

The iDrive software on my car kept crashing every few minutes after I picked it up, so I called BMW NA and the dealer gave me $200 towards accessories. Got a nice little piece of M Luggage. I'm sure by ordering the wrong thing, you can get a good deal on something.

Did they fix the iDrive bug or is it still an issue?

They fixed it by doing a software update

Well, supposedly my Mineral Grey m235i started production last Monday, Nov 30th. I still can't find it on My BMW. It's weird, I'm listed, but when I try and add the new car, no VIN with that number occurs. Also, there has been no movement in production of the car in pave a week, and it's suppose to be completed on Dec 12th. Of course, it really doesn't matter as I won't be picking it up until March 9th, at the PCD in Spartanburg, SC. I'm excited about that delivery, but when they said and showed me the Vehicle Inquiry showing that it had started production, well, it can't be found. What was the following like for some of you guys production week? Just curious if someone is trying to tell me something.

Call the BMW Genius number and ask them to look up your vehicle status. It's much faster than the online system. You can find the number in the M3 order tracking sticky thread...on mobile so I can't link it now

Well if it helps, my Mineral White m235i had a status code of 155-Assembly Finish / quality check on 11/30 and on the website 12/13 it still shows step 1, order placed. And it says its black... but I called the BMW number on 11/30 and they said it was Mineral White. Lets hope the website jumps to En Route to U.S.
