Questions on port installed accessories

I have a couple of questions regarding the optional rear diffuser for the M235i:

1. My dealership says that this rear diffuser is carbon fiber. This is contrary to all the information I've gathered including from the BMWUSA site. The only rear diffuser offered by BMW for the M235i is the polyurethane one on the BMWUSA site correct?

2. Can the VPC paint the rear diffuser prior to install at port?

Thanks in advance.

The M Performance Rear Diffuser is constructed using a PUR-RIM (Polyurethane Reaction Injected Molding). Not CF.

Comes in paint-able Black Matte color. VPC is not equipped to paint cars. It is primarily a vehicle processing center (as denoted by its acronym). It's main function is to go through each imported vehicle insuring Federal safety, emissions, etc. prior to shipment to a dealership as a sell-able US vehicle.

Hmm, OK. All of the articles I've read on the VDC/VPC facilities say they have body/paint repair capability for damage during transit.

They do have basic paint and body capabilities to repair most shipping damage. And, they do the port installations of various specified accessories; however customizing those installations such as painting them as you suggest would gum up the works - they aren't really set up to do that even if they have the theoretical capability to do so - that is, an employee there could slip the guy doing the installations a twenty or two (or a case or two....) to run the diffuser thru the paint shop when they were painting something else that color, but their order system doesn't support such customizations.

Anybody know what's available at the Port, for installation and pricing? I can't find it anywhere. I'm interested in the 2 series.

I'm sorry, but you are incorrect. I've toured the NJ PDC center twice, they have EXTENSIVE paint and body repair facilities, the master painter is incredibly talented. They process and repair, if damaged BMWs and Rolls Royce cars if they are damaged in transit.
