So I've always driven pretty old cars but I recently had to move and sell my rx-7 and was kind of up in the air on what to get next. Kept looking at rx-8s (again) and then started looking at older BMWs. Got pushed to look at newer ones by family and test drove a 230i but the dealer wanted $40k for it so I found a used m235i down the street for 30k instead. Overall pretty pleased with this thing so far.

Pics are from the first day of ownership. It's a 6spd with 34k miles. Of course it rained the day after buying it so I'll have to wash it again.

[Edit:] First mod will be changing out those orange reflectors for the painted blue ones.

Yeah, it's definitely something I plan on keeping for a long time. Feels almost like a sports car but it's very comfortable for DDing. I think I'll probably do suspension mods later on to improve handling and braking but I love the engine as-is.
