new car and new in the forum/ build bmw m240i

hi everyone

im new here as you can see , i just received about 2 weeks ago my car from the dealer is a bmw m240i 2018 grey automatic.

i love to upgrade my cars and i will love to have your advise in the future for my mods.
i will tell you a little about me current car and why i bought the bmw.
My current car is a vw beetle with lots of mods like kw coilovers ,brembo big bakes, big turbo to mention somes i will keep this car forever, i have so much fun every time i drive it , i buyed the bmw thinking in have some fun and different experiences driving this 2wd car, initially i was very temped in buying a shelby gt350 or an M2(i know they are different beasts) but both have things that i really love , i ended buying this because i want to mod this as i want and i read in a lot if articles and forums the b58 engines is a gem.
I start buying some thing for these bmw
vogtland 15mm drop springs
dinan bumbstops
19in csl style wheels
and i plan to mod my stock muffler, it sound very good but is a shame for me to drive the car and dont hear nothing as the artificial sound of the stereo.

Thanks and hope you enjoy my posts as much as i enjoy to be part of this forum.Name: IMG_1426.JPG

Thanks for the replies definitively the car is a fun little rocket , today i will intall a set of vogtlant springs part 951628 they are specified to drop my car about 15mm , i dont found any member with this springs so i decided to try it.
I will install later a set of 19in wheels and i dont want to rub or have dampers leaks problems, my options for a moderate drop where H&R 28896-2 15mm drop or BMW performance springs that drop about 10mm.
i ended with vogtland because are cheaper than the bmw performance and softer than H&R all three have similar drops.
Im a little confused because in vogtland site specified 15mm drop and in the box said 15-30mm
Later i will post some pics of the result

so after the wait this is the result.
i also installed the dinan bumpstops (bmw) the ride is like 10% percent rigid than after but the car drop about 25mm and 30mm in some corners S: ,the car looks nice and ride nice but i was looking for a moderate drop.
if someone is want a moderate drop this vogtlants aren't the option.

Congrats and welcome to the forum. The B58 engine is amazing and my car has been rock solid after about a year of ownership. Enjoy your new ride. Looking forward to seeing your other posts.

switching to h&r 15mm springs

well after 100 miles of driving the car with the vogtland springs i can say it drives almost as come from the dealer , only a little bit stiff,i ordered the last week a new set of hr springs that will drop the car 15mm(model 28896-2) ,they arrived today so i will instal them tomorrow .
i will drive many miles to compare the vogtlants, i read a lot of threa in different forums and i suspect that bmw made the cars that sell in my country *Mexico 15mm taller than in the US and Europe so probably the drop of the vogtlands is 15mm in bmws distributed in US and Europe

in resume if the h&r drop my car the same as the vogtlants i will evaluate wich is better for me and left them installed in the car.

h&r springs installed today

today i installed the H&R 15mm springs, they come in blue as i show in the picture,i can say the drop is similar to the vogtlands , they look thicker than the vogtlands and after 15 miles of driving i can say the h&r are hard than the vogtlands.
the car still confort but definitely feels good and more planted, i have adaptive dampers and when i put the car in sport or sport+ feels great is the perfect balance for me.
i will put 19 wheels soon, the car come with 18 wheels and runflats,i plan to install normal tyres(non rfts) and hope the car feels like right now.

exhaust mod

hi everyone again ,i want to show my new mods on the car,
i recently hit my first 800 miles with the car, i have noticed that the engine is very silent, the past week i was a little confused when i was driving hard the car because the fake sound of the ASD doesnt transmit enough for me ,the sound of the engine is base for my driving ,i drive motorcycle, kart and my other car and never look at the speedometer my driving is always based in the sound of the engine, so after some investigation and reading other forums and topics i decided to mod my rear silencer*the big one with the tips, i attached some pics of the process.
In resume when i removed the silencer the car was about 10 percent louder, so i decide to open the silencer and weld all the perforations as i show in the picture ,the car didnt soundn very different compared from factory ,so i decided open again the silencer and this time i welded a piece of metal in the short pipe that enters in the 2nd chamber , i read this chamber is called Hemholtz anti-drone chamber but to be honest the car didnt have droning after this mod it only increase the sound of the engine and gave me a pleasant sound every time i change gear* my car is automatic.

this is the clamp i use to install the silencer after the mod

Congrats! We have almost the same car. I like your OEM exhaust mod, a popular mod on the e9x M3's. What CSL style wheels did you get? Have fun with it, this B58 is a little monster!
