"During the RACE1000 in Germany yesterday I have filmed this unique BMW 'M2' Convertible (based on a M235i) fitted with Akrapovic Exhaust. BMW will not make the M2 Convertible, so thats why Kotte Performance customized it and is tuned to 550HP! You will hear some loud revs and accelerations during the 1/2 Mile Acceleration! I hope you will enjoy the video"

yep.. . that's what people have said since the E30 325 vs the E30 M3.. . and yet somehow.. one fetches QUITE a bit more than the other at resale.

people made this comment about the E36 M3 vs the E36 325 and yet somehow.. the E36 M3 sells for more.

That said I have slightly more patience for this kind of work when BMW doesn't make a car. So this is not great IMO but worse is converting to something they do make. Like 235 coupe to M2 conversion, 3 series to M3 etc.

Who cares what they call it, your M2 doesn't even have M mirrors, so people can arguably claim its not a real m car, just like the NA E36 M3 for different reasons.
