Anyone have a US Millworks bracket with PDC?
I've got a US Millworks front license plate bracket on my M235i with PDC. No matter how I mount it sets off the either the RT inner/outer sensor.
I've tried mounting it with right side up upside down with just about everything combination of mounting holes. At first it would only set the sensor off once in a while but now it's constant. If anyone has had success could you please post a pic of the mounting for me? Every time I get it mounted and check it works fine w/o setting off the PDC. I put the plate on (no frame of any kind) and eventually it sets it off. I think the bracket just f*cking hates me.

Mine goes off no matter what. I just deal... Or leave the plate off on the weekends.

I have mine mounted, I forget which holes I used, and don't have any problems, but I have the regular sport line (not M-sport) bumper

I was able to get mine mounted so it didn't set off anything. Then someone tapped it with their bumper and it got out of position and I just haven't run a plate all year so I haven't bothered to put it back right. Definitely can't run a frame if you want it to work.

Same here. The first time I mounted it I was able to get it in the perfect spot where it missed the sensors. Unfortunately, after a mishap in the rain, when I re-mounted the plate I can't find that same spot. It trips either one or both sensors at all times. I would also rather hear the tone than drill holes in that sexy bumper though!

I thought it was only volume you could control (mine's at the lowest setting), but you can still hear the gong, just not as pronounced. So there's a way to completely shut off the gong, totally?

After some fiddling I got mine adjusted correctly. Facing the car the plate backing is mounted to the swivel base by the top right-most holes and the plate angled so it is parallel to the bumper and as close to it as I could get it. I seldom get a false alert from the plate - can't remember the last time it happened. I did discover that I can't use a frame on the front plate - just that little bit of extra width made it impossible to position where it won't trigger the alarm.

Thanks for the replies guys. I had it mounted the same way as in the pic and the previous post. I just flipped it upside down and used the innermost mounting holes. Drove it today and no beeping. I've got my fingers crossed.

do you have the kit with the quick release option? it really takes a lot of adjustment of the angle on the pivoting platform to get it right. but inevitably, the sensors still go off. i've gotten used to it, but whenever i have other people in the car, they get bugged out by the noise

Mine can be a little hit & miss. It doesn't beep 80% of the time and when it does I can't figure out why. seems to have a mind of its own.
In any case, it's not that bothersome. I spend most of my time driving forward

I applied some padding to the back of my license plate then adjusted the license plate all the way towards the bumper until the padding touches the bumper.
No Beeping. |

Seems like a few people have had some success and for others it's shortlived. I just wish it was consistent then I could adjust it incrementally. Right now I'll adjust it and it doesn't beep, drive it a few times and the beeping comes back.
And I don't have the quick release, it's the normal non-lightened version

The PDC sensors are too narrow. I have the non-Quick Release plate and I can usually get away without beeping about 50% of the time, but as soon as I hit the bump coming out of the driveway it'll usually trigger one or both sensors.
I just turned the volume down and got used to it being annoying. Some days it doesn't beep and I'm lucky, but when you mount it on the far edge there is very little support so it flexes and jiggles around too much. I've contemplated just unplugging the center right sensor but I had so many problems with the PDC on my old 335 that I just leave it.

When did you all purchase your mounts? I wonder if it was a bad batch or something.
I have never had an issue with mine, just weird that it seems like a lot have here |
