That's strange - hopefully you get on a ship soon! My dealer was saying my BMW loyalty incentive expires at the end of March but said they can go to BMW and try and get it pushed since the wait has been awhile to build the car (ordered at the end of Jan). I would think you could do the same or ask...not your fault and you shouldn't be penalized for it.

Why are you assuming it has to be Wallenius? I couldn't find the operator listed anywhere, but the Galveston Highway that I'm on to BAL is not 2W. Mine sat at port for about 12 days.

Galveston Highway is a K-Line ship. You are right, it doesn't have to be Wallenius but according to the guide, they do most (though obviously not all) of the east coast.

I was bored (or obsessed) this weekend and started looking at others shipped lately and comparing their production date to their shipping date on 2W. The average of time from production to shipping was about 11 days. Some waited as long as a month but that was rare.

I hope mine will either get on the 2w ship on the 24th or the 29th as they both arrive in Baltimore on April 8th. If it goes on the 26th it won't get there until the 13th.

It will get here when it gets here but it is hard not to be anxious.

Well, mine now shows it was received at the terminal today to go on the Asian Emperor that actually sailed last week. Not sure what that means.

I didn't expect 12 weeks but apparently sat at port bremerhaven for 2 weeks according to my salesman. He didn't have an answer as to why

How long did it take to get your car from Galveston port to Dallas dealership?

Mine is expected at Galveston port on 3/31. Ordered 2/16.

Marine traffic showed my ship ported Galveston on a friday. My car wasn't ready for pick up until the following wednesday evening. Approximately 3 business days. Looks like you'll get yours much faster than I did!

Well the ship I'm on, Torrens, seems to be behind schedule a few days. It was initially supposed to arrive at Baltimore harbor tomorrow, 3/24, but now has an ETA of 3/26...I really need to stop asking for updates lol this wait is getting brutal now! Hopefully, it won't take long to get from Baltimore to Pittsburgh!

I'm on the Torrens too, but my car is being shipped to SC for PCD on April 25. I expect that you will be enjoying your 2 before me.

How did scheduling the delivery work? My CA says that they won't schedule it until it goes through customs and gets to South Carolina.

Once the car was on a ship, I provided my CA with some tentative dates in April and the Performance Center came back with what dates were available for me to choose. I was told not to make travel arrangements until 3 weeks prior to the PCD date in case there were shipping delays.

Apparently dealers are not taking trades on cars with the airbag recall. The earliest BMW is going to have parts is summer and some may take much much longer. I sent a text to my CA to see what he says.

Well it looks like the Torrens has made it Baltimore...now the real countdown begins! I am wondering if it will make it the dealership this weekend? I am located in Pittsburgh so I don't think it should take long once it gets through VPC/customs.

Well I am one of the lucky ones. I just heard back from my dealer and they are going to take my trade with the open recall at the agreed upon price. My car should arrive in Baltimore on Friday and I hope to have it here in Iowa before the middle of April.

I am sure you are excited. When did yours arrive at the VPC in Baltimore (trying to get a feel for how long mine will be there)

Ya I can't wait! It couldn't have been more than a day, as it was at the port on the 29th, and then cleared customs/VPC by today and is going on the truck to be delivered to the dealer by tomorrow. Good luck and keep us posted!
