What are you getting after your 2er?
Inspired by the opposite thread with a similar name, curious to see what everyone is thinking post-2. Assume most will have a couple of options up for consideration. Also would be interested to know how long into the 2 were you thinking about what to get next. I made it about 6 months before I started to think about it seriously. Right now I am considering:
RS3 (60%) M235 xDrive (20%) C43 AMG (10%) M2 (10%) |

Honestly, i might keep my 235 forevever ;-) i love the balance and tuneability.
Nonetheless, once paid for, i might consider: A) alfa romeo giulia (400hp) B) old camaro build project C) maybe a used gtr Comming from: sonata 2.0t, 128i, accord coupe |

I'm planning on keeping my M235i for at least ten years. Who knows what the options will be then.

With the imminent release of the M2. I feel like it's probably time to move on from the M235i as well... I hate not having "top of the line" items. Very shallow thinking unfortunately.
After owning a few of the best hot hatches/coupes, I think it's time to move to something different. Unfortunately, don't think I'll stay with the BMW family, great cars but with manufacturers lack of differentiations throughout the range, it's hard for me to justify getting a same era car. So these are a few cars I'm looking at... I'm really excited about the Alfa Romeo Giulia quadrifoglio!!! Also very excited about the C63s Coupe! Also thinking about a Porsche Boxster or Cayman. I really want the last of the NA engines, but will see what the new 2.5l turbo engine sounds, before deciding.

C43 will be released in Australia by the end of the year. It's attractive pricing but it won't really be a full blown AMG car like the c63

It's a good question. I'm only 5 months into my current lease so I have a while, but here is what I'm thinking based on known cars.
Purchase current m235i M2 M240i 340i RS3 S3 S4 TT-S Mustang 350 Focus RS Tesla 3 Miata (because I've been told the answer is always Miata) |

I've still got 2 years left on my lease, but I have given much thought to what's next. Right now I could see my next car being :
3 Series 4 Series GC (Most likely at this time) M3 (If I could justify the cost to myself) Audi A3, A4, or S3, S4 X1 or X3 What I'd love to see is BMW build a 2 Series GC. I love my 228i, but could use easier access to the back seats considering how often I carry co-workers. Right now I'd have to lean toward a 428i GC. |

I'll likely be looking at an Audi S4. It will be my third!

Pros: Great looking Interior is top notch, def step up in quality Usable back seat w doors (gf is 5'9" had no problem getting in and out w heels on) Hatch back w seats down makes it tremendously versatile to haul stuff around Fast, handles well, excellent for highway cruising (felt more stable at speed than the 2) Availability of track and M package def nice, both reasonably priced for what you get Cons: Cannot get track handling pack w/out active steering Price starts to get up there when fully spec'd Not quite as sharp or as quick as the 2, but more stable at speed - def "fast enough" though Biggest gripe - wheel and tire options - want 18" w non-run flat and there's just one option that I didn't like when you select track and M. There are some nice looking wheels but 19" which I have no interest in and RFT- barf. The 440 is just around the corner so I'd have trouble getting a 435 now. That said my dealer Is on the lookout for an exec demo that would meet my needs. If I can pick one up for a decent discount I'll pull the trigger. Dad is also interested in one so maybe I'll get him one fully spec'd and take it in a year or two when he wants something new. I think my biggest issue is that if I'm spending $60k on something I'd like to do so on something that's harder to get and more unusual. M2, RS3 etc. Maybe I'm being silly but I feel like just being able to walk in and order one and have it in a few months isn't as satisfying as finding an allocation, fighting for the best deal, and having the hottest new thing that's hard to find.

I love my M235i so much (minus having Run Flat All Season Performance Tires that like to blow out). I'm surprised how well it did in the snow thus this being my first time having a pure RWD vehicle and hasn't really bothered me considering if it snows....stay home.
My lease is up next June 2017 so who knows what I'll be wanting but as of now, I'm all over the place from an SUV to a 2 seater coupe but here is my top 5 list which probably sounds crazy lol..... 1. Jaguar F-Type 2. Porsche Macan S 3. Jaguar F-Pace 4. Audi A6 5. Used Nissan GT-R

Macan GTS or C63s Coupe
Depends what my wife decides as to her cars, if she wants a new car then ill probably trade the 2 for a macan, get something fast a few years down the road. If she keeps or gets a new SUV then Ill pick up the C63 and use the 2 as my winter / DD. TBH BMW isn't selling anything right now that I think is worth buying. Even an M3/4 seems like such a small performance step up from my 2 that considering they have the exact same interior and features. Why would i bother dropping another 50 grand on that...
