I love my 135i, but would be hard pressed to get another car that is so similar. I guess there is always the M4...

Congrats on your previous purchases... but why do you assume that one should be able to offer $500 over invoice and that such a deal would be automatically approved?

Even if this has happened before.... (and YES i know it does happen).. why would you expect it to be available on a brand new model that's in its first few months of delivery?

I'm all for getting a good deal... and hopefully you can certainly negotiate to this level.... it just seems that EXPECTING this to be occur is .... at the least...... well... presumptuous..

Since you are a multiple BMW purchaser... Hopefully you are also a CCA member and are also collecting rebates from BMW CCA on your purchases..

best of luck getting the deal you want and ED #3.
I suspect it will be tough to get the standard $500 above ED invoice, but that's not reason to not try. Being the 5th purchase should help. Plus, it's a minimum of 2 months to delivery anyway, likely several more for adequate weather over there (especially the southern passes), so more like a July delivery. We had snow/rain on the Grossglockner in June 2012. I see little value of doing an ED of I can't really drive the piss out of the car.

With those factors, there is somewhat more likelihood of a better deal. Or I just wait a bit.

I'm going to be patient and wait until they are no longer coming out of dealer allocation.
ED Invoice plus 500 should be at least another 2000 in savings compared to ED MSRP

Does anyone know a cheap transport agency/company for trucking a car across the country?

I did a quick search before giving up on that. It's going to be in the $1500-$2000 range. plus it's a huge risk for the car. You probably don't want to do that to a brand new M235i.

Yeah, I agreed. I was told about $1000-1500. I did a search and it's about $1200-1300 with a few carriers (more if you want closed containers). So yeah, it is definitely not worth it. That's pretty much out of the question at this point.

Intercity Lines is really good but it will most likely be 2000+ (fully enclosed trailer) from east to west coast.

Ditto for the M235i. Any update on this? I don't want to ping my CA yet.

So basically my "military pricing deal" in Europe was only $200 below normal ED pricing. Welp, at least I don't have to pay any taxes on it and they'll ship it back to the states as part of the deal. Still, some people in the states are getting better deals than I did.

Damn! When you look at the deal you got it total, you're way ahead of anyone else. People in the most populated states are paying 6%-10% sales tax. That's a serious chunk of change.
