2015 228i Sulev?

What is the difference between a 2281 Coupe and a 228i Coupe Sulev? I notice on the ordering guide that they have different engine codes. Sulev is N26 and non-Sulev is N20.

I think the SULEV has lower emissions for states that have stricter standards. I think....

If that's the case it would make sense since I live in CA, the state with probably the most strict emissions regulations in the country (or perhaps the world!)
