Coming from years of driving cars that do a mechanical click in the direction of signalling and having to click it back to the center, it's only natural. Old habits, ya know?

It's not just BMW drivers who do that. I know I've seen Audi drivers do it too. I was following an A4 a few weeks back and the poor guy kept activating the opposite blinker every time he changed lanes. Happened 3 or 4 times while I could see him.

Maybe I just notice BMW's more I will look out for Audi's doing it too

Coming from a '99 Eclipse I was not used to it. I quickly learned because I wanted to avoid looking like an idiot but I can see why a lot of people wouldn't be used to it.
