My dealer just called me to let me know that my car has been stuck at the VPC since thursday when it was ''released" to the carrier. He said they are waiting for 5 more BMW's that are also delayed like this.

He did confirm that it was processed and is "out of bmw's hands''. it also shows that it was supposed to be at the dealer on friday the 13th (which i knew).

Pretty bummed, he said they are waiting to hear back from the regional manager. i am on the same truck as two M6's with very anxious customers.

My car is in the same situation. Was supposed to be delivered to the dealer on 6/13, was released to the carrier on 6/10, but didn't make the cut.

Well my car landed NJ 6/11 and my dealer is in Boston MA

I was told the next scheduled transport to my area doesn't leave until 6/22. I would have thought Connecticut bought more BMW's than that though.

Could it be that the truck didnt have enough cars to carry so its waiting for the next badge of cars???

My car is also at the VPC in Baltimore. I called BMW NA and the girl on the phone told me that the car is being processed with departure date being the 18th and getting to my Midwest dealer by the 21st. We might be on the same truck depending on your location

thanks guys, sounds like im not the only one.

Makes no sense since my dealer is only 1.5 hours away and is one of the largest volume BMW dealer's in NJ. Im half tempted to go up there my self and trailer it down to my dealer.

Recieved another update in the evening. They are now not expecting my car/the others to be delivered until the end of the month

The regional rep told the dealer that they are having issues with the carrier not having enough drivers/trucks. I think that's BS but who knows what is really going on.

My car was stuck at the VPC in NJ from 5/23 to yesterday, 6/16. Yeah, not fun. I called BMWNA about 5-6 times, and the last time they escalated it to corporate and they had someone call to release it. I'm now trying to get my next lease payment taken care of. There is no reason for my car to be stuck at VPC for over 3 weeks while I am paying for the car.

Oh man, that sucks big time! Did you find out the reason why it was held at VPC for so long?

Mine is at VPC now, my CA says it can take up to three weeks, which scared me a bit but looking at your case I guess it's really possible. Damn, waiting is making me crazy.

I also did ED. I arrived at the same port in NJ 3 weeks later than the Aida guys (6/13) and in 3-4 days my car cleared customs and the VPC and has already been released to carrier for pickup. So, it's very strange some folks had several weeks of delays and others just slide right through. I'm not complaining but if I got delayed so many weeks I definitely would be. So, it's possible I may have my car one week after arriving to port which would be awesome but the last thing that I would have expected to happen.

There may have been some bottleneck that caused the delays, but who knows. It'd be tough to get a straight answer!

Looks like AIDA had issues during transport. Anyone successfully got their car from AIDA ?(5/23) Port NJ.

I did ed on 4/17. But didn't drive the car as it had electrical issue.

No answer why. I'm waiting to see if BMW will take care of my next lease payment. The car is still there actually. It's been released for shipping but hasn't left yet.

The "funny" thing is I dropped my car off in Munich 3 weeks before five3three and our cars will be on the same truck to the dealership!

Hit port on 6/18. Still at VPC with no estimate of a time to release. No explanation from BMW. Other people on my boat have had their cars for almost 2 weeks. They did confirm that their was no damage to the car in transit.

Still no car after over a month at VPC. After numerous calls, last week BMW NA finally force-released the car to a carrier. ETA for delivery was last Friday yet still no delivery to the dealer. Not happy.

undertoe: that really sux! My car is due at the port 7/30. I really hope it doesn't sit there for weeks like yours. I'd be really upset.

BMW telling me it wont arrive at dealership till next week. Over two months from when I dropped off in Amsterdam. I think they are just trolling me at this point.

My can came into port on 6/18 still at VPC... an M4... really frustrating especially when your CA has no idea what it going on and they don't want to answer any of your anxious questions.
