2014 228i N20 Coil Pack Recommendation
I need to replace the coil packs in my 2014 228i N20, it has 110k and previous owner did not replace the plugs or coils. Plug change is no brainer, but I want to change coils at the same time as preventative maintenance based on our experience with our E91.
For our E91 I replaced coils with Delphi and they work great. For the N20 I found 2 other options; 1) Dinan N Series Coils - promise of higher spark energy etc.. 2) Eldor 12138657273 - great reviews but not shown to work in N20, seems identical physically to Delphi, and other have made it work on various BMW's these are not listed for, but I have not seen them on N20's. Any thoughts on these? will Eldor's fit? is Dinan a good upgrade? I'm just looking for high quality coil which Delphi's fit the bill, but if the other two can make the car run slightest bit smoother/better, etc.. I'm for it. All 3 choices seem to be about the same price. I'm not interested in ultra high performance coil options for more $$. |

I too stuck with Delphi for my 2014 228i N20. Replaced at 70ish-k. Link from FCP Euro below.
