Dinan Boost controller

Has anyone tried the Dinan sport performance tuner for the 235i? The stock torque curve is great already and adding a bit more boost overall will likely be what I’m looking for. Any boost/HP numbers on these things?

I suggest BMS over Dinan. Better bang for your buck unless you really need to have Bluetooth support.

Id love to but just looking for a simple bolt on for now until warranty is up. Im running Racechip GTS Black right now and have only had it for a week. So far not very happy with it, Engineers at Racechip are trying to dial it in, although it pulls slightly harder it seems numb overall and not as snappy as stock. I love how responsive the car is stock, just would like to open it up a bit more thats all for now. I see why people go for a flash tune over a bolt on though, hard to sacrifice that responsiveness.

I felt the same way until I realized any power mod (even these boost controllers) are enough to waive your power train warranty. Some will say it depends on your dealer but I have a good relationship with my SA and he said it's not even to their discretion. Once your car is in, they run a scan and the system immediately flags for out of range parameters. Since then, I went FBO with flash and only service at a local indy. My loss on the free oil changes I guess but damn the power is otherworldly so I really don't care.

My CPO'd car came with one installed, I didn't notice it until about 3 weeks after taking possession of the car

My only problem with it is that with the Android Oreo update to my Pixel I can no longer connect via Bluetooth. I now have to utilize one of my tablets to change the setting.

This is essentially the same thing as BMS JB+ tune I think? Just with out the bt capability. Look like the same numbers. I have the JB+. Easy to install. But with the JB+ I have to take off the tune, open it, turn dial to adjust boost. I have it at 85%. now

The Pixel is garbage. Doesn't connect well to my GoPro, DJI Spark and constantly disconnects to my Vlink when coding. Worst phone on the market. Perhaps the worst Google Phone ever.

It was PERFECT until the Oreo update. I never encountered a single connection issue with any of my BT devices (2 vehicles, headphones and Dinan)

I ended up going JB stage 1. Love the extra bump in power and how it still uses the factory power delivery curve. Expecting my Fabspeed sport cat any day now to complete the power side of things.

Between the Dinan and the JB+ they have similar gains. Cool thing about the Dinan is the bluetooth capability though. It really comes down to if you want the BT option or not.
