I've recently also yanked the underhood insulation (the M2/3/4 don't run it either) and that too made a bit of a difference in turbo noises coming from the front of the car. |

The intake upgrade works well too. I noticed a significant increase in sound from the dinan intake, though there are plenty of good intakes out there prob cheaper.
A sport cat is great, In all honestly dont go catless. Im not a green peace trooper but we need to keep our air clean.

I'm mainly after noise now. My car is well modded but coming from a type R background with ram intakes, I'm finding the m235 a little bland on the nose front.
Will look at removing sound deadening under the bonnet and fitting the modified lower airbox. Aside from my local stealer, can anyone recommend a good place n the UK to buy this from? |

Keep in mind that turbos suppress induction noise to a large extent. If you want the most induction noise possible, then you should go with an open cone intake. Just remember that open cone intakes are known to create a whole host of annoying issues on these cars.

Fitted the MPPK airbox enclosure and loving it! Also removed soundproofing from under bonnet.
Suprised by how audible turbo whistles and wastegate noise is based upon other people's comments - I think it sounds brilliant and is as a great upgrade! Thanks for the pointers people... |

Just installed the M2 lower (MPPK) airbox a few days ago and I love it. Got it from Turner Motorsports for around $200 shipped.
I like the fact that it's an OEM part and not a full on intake. I makes just enough sound IMO about 2x louder than stock. Definitely sounds more aggressive without being overly loud. Thank you for posting the part #. It was exactly what I was looking for.

Hi Guys,
Installed a Remus axel-back system (similar to MPE exhasut) and IŽm really dissapointed. Sounds like stock exhaust, just a little lounder but not much really. IŽm considering to remove the tiny mid-resonator and replace it with a straight pipe. Will this improve the exhasut sound our will it just give me exhaust-drone? Any ideas? |

It'll definitely increase the exhaust note with minimal drone. What will give a ton of drone is a muffler delete and a catless downpipe. Replace your midpipe and you should enjoy it.

Yes you can do a cutout or a few smaller circles and it'll give you the added noise. Plenty of people on these forums have done that. Some like it, some don't, so might want to buy a second hand unit in case you want to revert back.

I recommend you either get the REMUS midpipe or catless downpipe for a more aggressive sound

M2 muffler with quad tips cut off best route , add VRSF downpipe too but not necessary
I wouldn't worry about cutting the muffler off as thats how MPEs are installed and all the parts are OEM |

cool sounds exactly like mine. But I just paid 250 pounds and the guy cut small section in backbox on mine, altered internals and re sealed. Bargain and hardly any messing around and looks stock underneath.

IŽll replace the resonator with a straight pipe... the shipping(incl taxes) is tooo expensive to send the midpipe to Sweden unfortuantely. Thanks guys. |
