Much better. The rear tires hook up a lot better and so much better when coming out of a turn.

If you do auto-x or road racing, a true LSD should be a priority. For a street-only car, you may want to try DSC Off first. |

First reaction with my LSD was the similar impression. Once broken in, all turns smooths out and have a glide feel to it. You'll adapt and driveability will improve over time.

Problem with eLSD is that it interrupts the balance of the car while it decides which wheel to slow down, otherwise the system does what it is intended to, to a degree. Have it on our GTI and it does work, but unless it's proper torque vectoring like the M2/3/4 or PP GTI I wouldn't call it a "solution" to replace a limited slip arrangement. Just my $.02

I'm still on the E-Diff. Are 0 - 62 times improved with the M Performance LSD? Fastest I got on my car (0 - 100km/h) was 4,35s measured with VBOX Sport. This was with DSC completely off.

However, they are significantly improved if you're talking about accelerating out of a corner. |

This seems to be the case. Its smoother into the corners now, still not as it was with the stock, open, diff, but getting better all the time. I'm considering having the local BMW performance shop replace the diff fluid now that I'm past 1200 miles on it. I'm not sure if its worth the expense though.

I'd wait till 30k miles to get your money's worth. That's when I plan to do mine. A rule of thumb for me is to replace it when my rear tires need to be replaced. I've got roughly 22k miles right now.

Following up on this. I just had to diff fluid changed. I'm at 15k miles now which means the LSD has about 8k on it. The rear end is much, much improved. It's very smooth now. Cost was about $150 at the local, independent BMW shop.

With a clutch type LSD it is a good idea to do a break-in service at 2-3000 miles and every 30K thereafter. If you track the car, every 15K or sooner.
