muffler delete and other ways to make some noise.
Hello everyone, I currently have a m235i with a muffler delete. I am over the sound and am concerned about bring it to the dealership due to the fact that it is a lease. If I were to put the stock muffler back on what are some other ways I could make the car have a nice louder sound, without breaking the bank.
PS: any experience with re installing muffler after it was cut off, and was it noticeable when looked at? Best -Spencer |

I don't think muffler delete will cause anything on dealership side. It won't affect your warranty by any means.

Reinstalling will be just like an MPE install using the clamp. Only caveat would be if you left the pipe way too long when cutting, had to trim more to get your delete installed, then have a gap between the original plumbing.

Dealer doesn't care if exhaust has a clamp.
The delete does more than sound, it reduces weight as well. If you are not concerned with weight. Do an exhaust dump. I have wrote about this is other posts. Basically, plumb this into your mid pipe, and when you want open exhaust, it dumps it directly out, not going through the muffler. When you want it to be quiet, you can send it through the normal direction out through the muffler.

In general all they care about is stock or better with OEM parts. Wheels aside if you swap your aluminum trim for black, install MPE, put the OEM spoiler on they won't care.

That said from a $ perspective you're often better off returning to stock at turn in and then selling upgrades. Exhaust for example if you sell your stock one to offset your MPE purchase, you'll end up worse off than if you keep it and sell the MPE one later on.
