Will I void my warranty if I do the exhaust valve mod?

My friends keep peer pressuring me into doing the exhaust valve mod where you disconnect the wire but I bought extended warranty and I'm afraid I'll lose all that money if I end up voiding it. Any thoughts?

No mod will make you lose your warranty. Some mods will get the dealership to deny a certain claim but they cant just void your warranty all together.

You should be very safe with exhaust valve mod, cant imagine any problems happening because of it.

Most forum users have a ton of mods on these cars including tune , intercooler and downpipes and are still getting their cars serviced under warranty without any issues.

Why do some many think a mod, say on the exhaust, would completely void a warranty? What does your exhaust have to do with your sunroof, your passenger window, or the speakers?
