Maybe not but strangely after everybody start talking about quad exhaust on the 1M we suddently saw some test mule with quad..... 12 person including 1 from the forum were invited to test mule car and give their impression. - http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=456607

You realize that all true m cars of last few generations had nothing but quad exhausts? And initial test mules pretty much never do. |

Maybe but you don't have to go too far back to get m cars without quad e34/e36 for example. Since the 135i didn't have the 335i's dual exhaust it was difficult to know if their primary intention was to get a quad exhaust on the 1M.
