VMR V810 Flow-Formed Wheels on M235i

Just a couple pictures of VMR's V810 flow-formed wheel (gunmetal color) on my friend's M235i while at EAS...

I think it would look even sharper if they were black wheels.

This one wheel was 19x8.5", but I can't remember the offset (I believe it was 135i fitment, so possibly +45). Even at 8.5" it was an aggressive fit (would likely rub on the fender even with 235/35/19 tires). This car is extremely picky with its wheel fitment.

That's what I was afraid of. I really want to like this model, but my biggest aesthetic complaint with this car is the lack of any perceptible flare in the rear end and the apparent need to run bicycle tires under the fenders. Regardless, I think this car looks really cool.

I was interested in 19's but having driven mine for 700 miles now I think 19's will ruin the ride.

Read his comment on the size he is running and likely fender rubbing. I understand that 245 is standard on tr factory 18s, but what about on 19s? From what I have read, it looks like having to choose the lesser of 2 evils between 1) running 18s, which in my personal opinion look too small, and 2) running a relatively narrow 19" wheel/tire in the rear.

BMW list the following with 19's Front axle 225/35R19 88Y
Rear axle 245/30R19 89Y. I don't see them as too narrow.

And all of this on stock suspension.

I fought wheel sizing issues with the 135i and I was hoping that the 235i was going to be closer to the 335i when it came to wheels and offsets--especially with the early reports of rolled rear fenders from the factory. Alas, not the case. Instead of getting better, its worse.

I run 255s on 19" Alufelgen SF-71 on my 1er (on eibachs) and 235s on the front. By the OPs estimation, my fronts would probably work on the rears of the 2...on a stock suspension. Who knows what happens if/when you drop it.

I know many have complained about the lack of an oil temp gauge but there are about 5 different ways to remedy that. The wheel issue is the only thing that has stopped me from ordering one. Its the only negative I can find with the m235i, but for me its a big one.

Not sure if the picture was just for show, but he does know that tire is backwards for that side of the car, right?

Lol 245s will fit on the back on 19s fine. And whatever ride height you want too.

The issue is finding wheels in the right offset

I was look'n at that too. Based on the tool on the ground I'm guessing this was a "test" fit. I'm sure they will correct once its a go on these wheels.
