Turbosmart DV (bov) Install and Issues/ no woosh/ W codes

Swapping out the DV with the Turbosmart dual port. PITA. Anyway i think the only way i could figure out to mount it is the wire harness comes out on the bottom and underneath the new turbo inlet pipe. Unfortunately it does contact one of the coolant hoses comin out the pump. Its not bad but iam a little nervous. If i turn it counter clockwise it will come in contact withe the block and the bolt holes dont line up. I found a couple pics online that shows it mounted as mine is and i cant find a video that shows clearly the direction its mounted. Does anybody have any ideas to help me finalize this mess? Sorry bout pics

Thanx in advance.

Anyone got any ideas? I just put a piece of heater hose between them to void any melting or damage. Also car is running decent. No CEL but the DV(bov) which is s dual open port is not making the famous woosh or flutter when releasing the throttle. Is that normal? Any thoughts? I’ve watched other videos of installs and they all release sum of the boost which is heard upon throttle release.

The wiring should be coming out the top. And it should be making a whoosh sound when you build boost, you won't hear it until all the boost is built.

The way you have it is fine. The coolant hose is not going to get hot enough to damage the wiring harness. And you would much rather have the harness touching a rubber hose than the side of the block where the wires could be chaffed and damaged.

On my e92 I had to change the orientation from how the OEM was as well.

No CEL light or active codes?

How is it performing?

Are you running stock, custom or OTS tune ?

If no CEL light or codes and is performing the same as it did with the stock diverter valve then providing a log doing a WOT pull in whatever gear would help to see what kind of boost spike your pulling at throttle closure.

Also what is the part number you installed:
ts-0223-1092 or ts-0223-1292

Any other ideas or trix if anybody has anything else to add. Gracias for the help yall.

Well its been installed another way. Wire loom up. Install ok but iam still missing the infamous “woosh”. I do have the dual open port model. Runnin 10-21 psi and any release of throttle no woosh! Lol. Is this diverter/bov broken? Does not appear to be loosing any boost while driving WTH? Anybody else had this problem or os it normal? Maybe any other ideas? Wires cut somewhere? I dont know. Try to return and just get a GGB?

Iam thinking of putting oem back on and see how she runs and hopefully without these codes?

Now codes-P0171
P0112E

Any help
Thanx

Yea iam chattin with xph cust ser right now. I actually found a handheld of reviews for this part that stated that they had wiring issues with it. Wires breaking or falling apart. The wire loom on mine has fallin apart. I found u can actually purchase another wiring harness by itself from ecs. So we’ll see.

Ill keep posting anything i find and thanks for the help yall. My factory looks fine. Inside and out. Ill throw a little lube on the diaphragm and call it good. Too much trouble for the turbosmart.

Well turbosmart sent me a new wiring harness. My research has shown that is kinda a known issue. And a pricey part. So ill swap in the new one and give results. High hopes. I want this to work.

Well she idles. No driving yet but she already threw P0171 and P112E. Same as before. Did the Maf reset and a clean. Iam gona drive her out tomorrow see how she pulls

Still no “woosh” pulls ok. 8.5-9psi. Still same lean codes. Code this bov have its own leak or stuck open allowing extra air to squeeze in? Iam gettin flustered here. Iam swappin in
My factory bov/dv and see what happens. Everything looks good on it. And I’ll continue to peak around for any other air leaks. I even taped up the harnes to help prevent any wire damage as well. Cleaning both MAPs and MAF as well.
Factory intake and filter. CTS turbo inlet. New PCV hose.

Any additional crazy ideas will be greatly appreciated. Gracias.

No codes and got me a “woosh” goin on. I dont know why my motor aint working with turnosmart so iam kinda runnin outa options. Maybe next time try the GFB? Who knows.
