Things from my previous car that I wished was on my 2.
I used to own 2 Honda Civics, 2 Lexus vehicles and my wife used to own a Toyota Yaris and now drives a MINI Countryman.
Out of all the cars that were used as a daily, here are a few features that I kinda wish are on my 2. (From the factory of course) But I still love my 2 don't get me wrong. -Warning message on dash when the windows weren't closed as I shut off my car (from the 2015 Lexus ES) -LED tail lights (Both Lexus') -Digital speedometer reading on dash (MINI Countryman, from factory without coding) -Headlight washers (2004 Lexus RX) -1 touch resume to programmed seat location (Both Lexus') -More storage compartments (Toyota Yaris) -Seat coolers (2015 Lexus ES) -Ceiling grab handles (existence in all my other vehicles) -Coin box (2004 Civic, 2015 Lexus ES) This is just my small list for now, I'll add more to this list when I think of others. What are your wishes??

I came from a 14 328. In that car the trunk has a compartment to put things in.
In my 235 that is where the battery is, so that always throws me for a loop. Seat coolers for sure... |

My last two cars were my first to have push button start. They also let me into the car without having to remove the fob from my pocket. I wish my 228 had comfort access without being part of a $4000 package.

Coming from an F150 the only thing I miss is the truck bed.
I've basically had to give up on biking because I can't fit the damn thing in the car. I don't want to put an ugly bike rack on my car. |

I wish a rear camera was standard. i didn't want to pay for the tech package without a HUD just to get the camera. i can add my own later.

From my 2009 e93:
That the climate control would self adjust the fan The windows going up outside by using comfort access Moving the car with a door open Soft trunk closure Locking of the center console and glove box when doors are locked Top down heating through the climate control Last edited by DF; 09-18-2016 at 12:10 PM.. |

Ha! That's actually one feature that REALLY annoys me in my Honda Odyssey. Once down to temperature (in cooling mode), it turns the fan so far down there's hardly any air movement at all.

My previous car was a 2013 335i. The only thing I miss is the HUD, which I realize now how much I used it.

Yeah, I was a bit disappointed that this wasn't an option in the 2. Then again, it would just be hidden behind the tech package which I don't want.

My prior car was a 2012 WRX. My M235 is not lacking any features in comparison to the WRX. I feel pampered and spoiled driving this car and I specifically ordered it without navigation or a moonroof. LOL.
What I do miss from the WRX and every car I had prior was how easy it was to work them and find data on service, torque specs, etc. BMW and most every German make is so damn secretive about this stuff and also, the need for specialized tools and coding when replacing certain parts. It's as if they intentionally make certain parts fit together in a such a way what you must have to buy their expensive tools (and in end it's just cheaper to have shop do it). The Germans have the ability to make a shoelace overly complicated. |

Yeah, but knowing BMW that would be an option that requires leather seats as well. :/

I have a number of niggles about what could have/should have been in the M235 as stock. However, coming from a 2009 Audi A4 Prestige, the only thing that I feel it SHOULD have had was a competent sound system. Even the HK is a joke compared to the B&O on the Audi.
So, for me I guess its the sound and ... 4 doors. The M235i would have made a great E46 330i throwback - smallish like the older 3 series, but all the muscle of today's turbos on an I6. Would have been heaven

Your car has those. What it doesn't have is LED brake lights. Big difference.

This is standard in the U.S. with the Xenons. Moot point for us. Blame O Canada and how frakking cold it gets up there. Oh c'mon. You're comparing a BMW with Toyota's cheapest car? Stop it. (And: the 2 Series actually has decent storage package -- though isn't what we get standard in 'murica an option in O Canada?) #PointlessThread

Displays of coolant temp & engine oil temp.
I always checked the oil temp in my previous VW Mk6 GTI to ensure it had warmed up enough before pushing the engine. Bit of a guess now as to when it is warm enough |
