Front intake fins or not

I noticed that some do and don't have the ferris grey fins in the front air intakes.

We have them as standard in Australia, what about other countries?

What looks best? I really hate the ferris grey mirror caps (cheap Audi S copy) too, so I'm considering removing the fins when I change to CF mirrors.

I think they're standard for the M235 everywhere but the US...I want those fins instead of my foglights

It looks so much better with the 'fins' to me! The mirror caps are okay, but not as nice as Audi's.

I agree! I've got the 220d on order and want the fins... I'm considering using window tint on the fog lights to make them look less visible, but not sure if the surround (cup shaped piece) is removal? If so... then the fins would be a great addition!

Just got my M235i and I am considering getting the mirrors painted in body colour and getting one of my Colleagues in our Boston office to go and order me some US spec grilles without the fins as I am not a fan of the ferric grey parts.

I do have the fins too, after seeing those without fins, I do feel without fins look more nicer and aggressive

Seems like those with fins, prefer no fins or change the colour, but those without would like to have them.

BMW have got their marketing backwards.
