Obvious wants:
Black Performance Grilles
That carbon fiber/alcantera interior
LSD

Since BMW is mass producing carbon, then that means they can charge less for the exterior parts right? haha. While the spoiler (front, and rear) and mirror caps look great, id rather go aftermarket for 1/2 the price.

If this has the same mirrors as F20 and F30, then those parts are already available.

If the interior is the same as F20, then you can get it for around 700 online.

Sad about:
Nothing about BMW performance seats : (. I really wish BMW had a solution for this!

Give me the diffuser and the spoiler, grilles are a given. Will have to hear the exhaust, though carbon tips would be cool.

Rims are weak. BMW glory days as far as rims go, were back with the old z3M and the e39. I like a deep dish lip.

I wonder if that's a generational thing - with regard to wheels. My pops loves the deep dish - I don't like them at all.

I definitely need to see the car in person - hopefully some of this stuff will be available in Detroit in January.

I'm only 25, but have certainly been told that I have a taste for things suited to those older than me. I absolutely hate matte colors and have never been much of a fan of black rims. I think the deep dish gives the car a more aggressive stance.

Regardless: the rim choices for the 2 are disappointing. Carbon interior pieces are very cool, but are not "must have" items, like the diffuser and the spoiler.

so uhhhhh does the LSD only work when traction control is off???

A highlight in the suspension area is the BMW M Performance limited-slip differential available for the BMW M235i Coupé. When the dynamic stability control function DSC is deactivated, the torque-sensitive mechanical limited-slip differential in the rear axle ensures traction-optimised distribution of drive torque between the rear wheels. It reduces the slip that occurs on the wheel with less grip by transferring more drive power to the other wheels using a blocking effect. This converts engine power into forward momentum as effectively as possible so as to be able to accelerate out of a bend even more dynamically, for instance.

Can someone clarify for me.....I thought the new "M Performance Automobile" line was supposed to offer a car half way between regular and full M. Therefore with beefed up suspension, brakes, exhaust, power (which M235 has) but what are the M Performance parts?

Are they full M spec? If not, it seems counter to the idea of the M Performance Automobile line. I was hoping that the M235 would not require many (if any at all ) mods.

I agree. LSD should be standard, as in the brakes and suspension.

I think what it has to do with is the fact that most people would not pay a higher base price for things they don't want or need.

BMW looks at it's market by the majority. Us enthusiasts only make up a small percentage of that

its doesnt require them, people just like to have them.

swapping out the standard M brakes for performance brakes seems pointless etc as the standards are 4 or 6 pot arent they?

As for seats, BMW have performance seats, the current version fits the f22 1 series so bet it will fit the M235i fine. sadly they are uber expensive. would be nice to have leather recaros as a factory fit option so you dont have to buy a car with leather sports seats, then spend another £3k replacing the seats for alcantara recaros

Did they post the second wheel option somewhere else ? I missed it if so...

I really love the 235i.

I really hate those wheels though. Can't imagine how awful 20" wheels feel on the street.

If you zoom in on the front wheel pic, you will see these are the 19" wheel. 225/35R19 tire is too small IMHO for a supposed performance car. More width and sidewall would fill the wheel well better and greatly improve the look. I dont care for this wheel either, too busy, but 19" is right dia.

That's good work on discovering the size of the tire.

I'm just curious what the other 19' option looks like ? Are they all black versions of these ??

I haven't seen any confirmation as of yet.
