AC is always ON at startup

I have an annoying problem with my M235i where the AC is ON when I first start the car, even if the air temperature is in the 60's or less. I've tried turning deselecting the "A" climate button; tried "M" on same button with no joy. The AC button is definitely OFF.

I took a look at the Climate menu and the timers are set to 0, as they have always been.

I've even tried selecting the "Auto" climate button and still no joy. The AC does eventually turn off by itself after about 5 minutes or so.

It's a factory setting. There's a humidity sensor in the car and if the humidity is high, the AC will run. It's done mostly to keep the cabin filter and HVAC ducts free of mildew.

I think you can code the default to off? The HVAC will still turn itself on(even if it was off when car was shut off) but the A/C will not be on.
