Rear camera not working? m240i
I just picked up my new m240i (YAY!!) which has the drivers assistance package. This should include parking sensor and rear view camera. I also have navi and carplay. However, when I go into reverse, I see the parking sensor display but no rear view camera. I see a menu to the left with various options including rear view camera but when I press it, nothing happens...
What's going on? I had a panic moment of thinking I didn't actually get a rear view camera but then I double checked, and the parking sensors come with the rear view camera in one package.. |

I just went and checked our '17 M240i w/navi and Driver Assist. It displays the parking sensors on left side of navi screen, and camera displays on the right side of screen. Looks like something is wrong with your system. My 15 WRX had pinched wires under the trunk liner that caused a myriad of intermittent problems with the trunk release, camera, locking mechanism, etc. Have your dealer check the wire and the camera first.

The camera is mounted on the trunk lid. Should be easy to see if its there or not. If it is, but it doesn't work, sounds like a trip to the dealer is in order.
