It codes just like E-sys (ie changes FDL's). Occasionally functions move around; but, otherwise, different I-Steps should not make that big a difference.

Vgate arrived, everything works perfectly! Was able to turn off the legal disclaimer, activated speed display on instrument cluster, activated psi and temp in the TPMS display, mirrors fold and open with both the fob or the comfort access button on the exterior door handle, and some other little things. All very cool and simple!

I did try changing the startup display on the iDrive but it seems to remain the same. Worth every penny!!

What did you use for mirrors on door handle lock? Mine works but just with key.

I get the following error when changing "Fuel Range Warning 1" or "Fuel Range Warning 2" to anything other than the default setting:

Warning instrument cluster failure. Instrument cluster must be reprogrammed by dealer.

This warning occurs after the car's system reboots. Has anyone else successfully coded these two features? Does anyone have any ideas what is going wrong with the recoding?

I have never changed 2nd fuel warning but coded plenty for 1st.

In e-sys, there is error clearing. Does something similar exist in app?

I have an older 4s with no SIM. Even though it connects to the v-gate via Wi-Fi it still won't work because the in-app (surprise!) purchases require internet.

Bit ticked because it didn't say anything about in-app purchases...man for $30US shouldn't be any of that crud

I'm not sure, although I get the dire warning everything seem to work fine afterwards. I'm currently working with Stephan at BimmerCode support to resolve the issue. I am impressed with BimmerCode's rapid support response, I got a reply within several hours of submitting a trouble report and have received many timely responses as we work through the problem in-spite of them being located in Germany and being the weekend.

anyone know which codes to change to add bluetooth audio streaming on a 2014 m235? I found various lists of codes on the forums but they seem to be outdated and don't match the options I have available using the app.

App works great; it did disconnect when connected for a while and inactive, but this may be because of the adapter. Hope this won't happen during coding.

So I tried to code again and still have the timeout error. I also have a JB4 OBD passthrough connected. Would that affect it? If I unplug the passthrough would it cause any errors?

Was car running (ie engine on)? You definitely want to avoid connection interruptions during coding as they can result in corrupted ECU's (E-sys can fix, but not sure app has similar process to recover).

Some warning are false positives. They can clear on their own by power cycling, shutting down vehicle for 20-30 minutes, or with driving. Others do require clearing. That is great that their support is so responsive.

You have to remove the passthrough. Jb4 requires full bandwidth to operate. Unplug jb4 and plug in v gate... code the car... when your finished coding plug jb4 back in. Wont cause any issues

Roughly a month ago I used Bimmercode along with v gate 2 and absolutely worth every penny. Seems like a very well put together app with great support and updates. No errors or timeouts experienced

Yes, the car was running. The disconnect seemed to happen after I took quite a while to select the various codes to code.

By the way for other users of the app, Stephan, the creator, said that in the next version he will fix an issue that caused the ACSM module to be unavailable in the app for my particular car. Very nice of him.

I know we have the "cheat sheet" for a different model but has anyone put on together for the 2 series or the M2?

I had a brief play on Saturday but I was heading to Galway for the weekend and I ran out of time....

Any Suggestions for interesting code options?
