The Canadian product guide said March 1. It took a while, but I finally got my March 8 ED date. At first they said March 10 was the earliest available, because that was the Euro launch date. That info came from the CA, not the company.

I have been talking to Center BMW in Los Angeles. They have an Estoril Blue M235 at the VDC right now. It should be at the dealer within 1 to 2 weeks.

Mine is currently in production (started today) but they warned me even if completed that BMW may hold it back until their release. Have they mentioned anything like this to you? I know they get their demo's so I don't understand why I couldn't get my preorder once completed.

the dealerships said all the cars coming will sit at the vdc for four weeks. so not to release till march/april.

i have no clue why they do this. i assume its to have them all go out the same time.

Nope, haven't heard anything like that from my dealer. As far as my sales guy has told me and knows, I should be able to pick it up as soon as its done at the VDC. Although, the car they are selling me is apparently the ONLY allocation for an m235i my dealer has, and it's actually their launch demo car they are selling me so that could explain it. Unfortunately the sales manager does not want to give me any discount because of this ...I'm going to try to negotiate when I go to sign paperwork though, seeing as our family has bought 7 BMWs in the last 3 years, 2 of which were new car leases on turn in of the previous lease.

Yes, if you are buying the demo that makes sense. I had that option as well but I still think the bulk of regular orders all go out relatively together. You'll be the first around town, that's for sure

Yea unfortunately I couldn't change any options on the car, but it'll be worth it to have it early!

Really? You'd rather have a dealership demo that you can't pick any options on AND pay sticker just to have it a few days/weeks earlier than anyone else?

To each their own I guess. Enjoy.

To be fair the only thing I even sort of wanted that the car didn't have, was the backup camera which I can certainly live without.

Dealer in Northern California, Chico., has a white on black m235i. Test drove it today, fun sporty car! Loved the 8 speed, and engine was strong.

I had an offer in writing for 2500 under US MSRP for stateside delivery, regardless of how many or how few options. There, your price was beaten. A bit cocky there aren't we. This wasn't even a pricing topic!

However, I decided for Euro delivery with the same dealer for added savings since I can fly for free with frequent flyer miles.

talking about 'cocky' I hear people post such greats deals off of numbers all the time....and then you find out there monthly lease or monthly purchase price is way high...its more then just what a great deal i got on the dealer MSRP when i financed my car...as for ED delivery..the best by far is Volvo...they pay for your airline roundtrip and one night hotel stay..but then again its a Volvo...and the 2500 under MSRP you state...great...and as for stick and stones...i take that from the source....
