Finally got my 228i back today. June 30th collision..so not quite 3 months. She looks and still smells brand new. Three months old and has less the 650 miles on her. Final bill was $11,090 to make her whole again. Now I start the diminished value game. My appraiser from ADE went out today. He said they did a good job and he made them correct every little cosmetic thing he found (ie Compound in a few places and some over spray, he made them paint some trunk bolts.) The Nationwide appraiser was out there too doing his photos and such. I imagine my folks should have my claim ready to submit sometime next week. We shall see if they do the right thing. It was really like driving off a new car lot again! The only non cosmetic damage was they had to replace the muffler and a small arm on the right suspension that is supposed to be straight, it was very curved after the collision. It was so refreshing to hit the gas and have a car that actually takes off, after driving that awful MB C250 for 2.5 months with its terrible transmission and throttle lag.

Diminished Value claim submitted. My appraiser came back with $7500 with pre crash value determined to be $37800. I took it to carmax and the offered $23000 so $7500 seems low but I feel good about getting it all based on the Carmax offer.

Nationwide came back with a $7000 offer for my Diminished Value after initially offering me $2500. I accepted the offer..really had no choice as I got laid off last Friday. I could not afford to drag it out any longer. I am happy
